@@caesar453001 don't feel bad, I'm a native English speaker and I can maybe catch half of it. People are not only speaking really fast but at the same time as other people - sometimes it's impossible to understand everything. This is the first movie in English where I needed subtitles
@@helvete_ingres4717 Thanks for your comment. I wonder if the director had intended that everyone would throughly understand the dialogue to begin with. Like a few of us can make out what we hear in the Akira Kurosawa's movies.
The rapid pace of the dialogue was definitely intentional. Luckily Hawkes had actors who could more than handle the dialogue! This movie is based on The Front Page, a very successful Broadway play.
Best quality I've seen so far. Thank you for the upload. I'm surprised this has not had more than 8k views in a year. This movie is, and always will be, a classic. They just can't make them like this anymore. Very little writing, acting and directing talent of this calibre left in woke Hollywood. But that's okay, because we'll always have movies like this, and Casablanca. So play it again, "Sam".
Wow! a remastered Criterion edition with subtitles!? you're tood good for this world! being deaf i thank you deep from my heart! great gift!
You are a lifesaver ...how I wished to to watch this movie in HD quality, and look what I got better than 4K quality! God Bless!
Thank you so much, especially for the subtitles!
Without the subtitle, I cannot understand a bit. The dialogue is too fast for a foreigner like me.

Great quality and in glorious black and white in the original format! I've just watched 'Dogma' and himself said it was availble here...in 4k!

Thanks you so much!
Great quality! Could you please upload more Cary Grant movies, especially his earlier ones? It is difficult to find them with this quality.
The pacing of the dialog in the movie " Clue" was based on this movie....😂
Sharp as a button! :D
it looks extremely wobbly with the upscaling, only watchable in 480p lol
shot 1 1:13 , shot 2 1:23 , shot 3 1:49 , shot 4 2:02 , shot 5 2:22 , shot 6 2:26 , shot 7 2:31 , shot 8 2:34
