Rotary SMP sent me here. I'm in no way disappointed with your videos, i must say. I, for one, would love to watch you making a die filer. Or anything, really. :)
Thanks for the input! I'm glad you are enjoying the series. With so many projects in the works it is hard to know where to go next!
Great narration! Clear, concise and with a pleasant voice.
Thank you kindly!
A die filing video series would be awesome, especially if it could translate to other lathe designs.
Thanks for the input, I appreciate it. If I buy the kit I will certainly look at possible options for non-Myford users.
Agree!! Please do! SMP sent me
Here from Rotary as well. Glad to have found you. Love these “ground up” builds. Cheers to you.
Thanks for watching. Glad you like it.
SMP convert over here, really love the channel, your style of videography is very relaxing and easy to follow. Keep them coming!
Thanks - and will do!
Thanks for another great video. I'm happy to see your views and subscriber count climbing!
You and me both! Thanks for watching.
top notch progress. It’s such a joy and inspiration watching you work. I would definitely like to see a build of the Hemingway die filer.
Thank you for the kind words and your input on the die filer. Noted!
Hi, I have really enjoyed watching your demonstrations, I have now got the casting and going to try myself, your faithfully S Trisidder.
Thank you very much. I hope you enjoy your build!
Another great video thank you. And definitely yes to the die filer:)
Thanks for the input!
I have just seen the 9 parts one after the other in a row. I took me 2 hours, however there are very entertaining: congratulations for this. For a new channel, the quality of both the footages and sound is perfect. Comments are also appropriate. At 07:25: sure, if the series is equally entertaining.
(discovered your channel thru Rotary SMP also).
Thank you for the feedback and for taking the time to watch! I'm glad you enjoyed them.
A big +1 on the Hemingway filer - I've also been thinking about this, or the MLA one sold in the States. (I'm also curious about where to acquire files for it!)
Thanks for the input. I have just had a look and that MLA filer seems to be a much more refined piece of kit than the Hemingway one. I have a suspicion that you use regular files and just ignore the reasons why you shouldn't!
would love to see the die filer. freight makes anything from U.K. very expensive to the U.S. but love Hemmingway's stuff is great.
I have been looking at some kits from the U.S. also and you are quite right. I think Hemingway do an export option where they leave out all of the bar stock for you to source locally but I can't imagine it makes a huge difference. Thanks for the input.
Hi, interesting build so far I have been interested in one of these for some time so interested in the outcome with ref: to a die filer that also would be an interesting build.Thank you and see you again soon.
To be honest, I am also interested in the outcome! If nothing else I am enjoying the journey! Thanks for the die filer input!
Definitely want to see the die filer build
I’ll add it to the list! Thanks for watching.
interesting build👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
I’d certainly be interested in the die filer build. I’ve been looking at the Hemingway kit as it seems to be the only commercially available one in the UK - all the others seem to be from the US and postage makes getting one of those prohibitively expensive.
Yes - I have just been looking at the MLA filer which seems to be a lovely piece of kit but shipping would be a killer! Thanks for the input!
Lovely work!
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice one !
Thanks!
Really enjoying your channel 👌
Thank you very much!
very cool project, i would love to see the file build thank you
Thank you. I think the die filer will be added to the list!
I missed the notification of this episode from YT. Nice workmanship as always. Is that a shop made boring head?
Thanks. Yes - I wanted a small, solid parallel shank boring head so I could hold it in all of my machines and run in reverse. Couldn't find one commercially so had to make it! The business end is a scaled down version of one TOT showed some years ago.
@@DrillsTapsDies Nice one.
I do not have a myford lathe but would still like too see the die filer from Hemingway Kits. For Lathes
What type of mill are you using?
It is a generic mini mill. Mine is a Sieg SX2p I believe but all versions are much the same. I would love a similarly sized older machine but they don’t come up for sale often. At least not at the right price!
Shades of Clickspring there…
G'day! Now there is a chap who knows how to handle a file!
