- Directed by Paris-based filmmaker Joaquim Bayle, PRECIOUS builds on Carhartt WIP’s last full-length skate project INSIDE OUT, which was released in 2022. This instalment explores skateboarding in the United States, situating the team riders amidst the sprawling suburbs of Los Angeles and New York’s sleepless, frenetic streets.

What a conundrum. There is some really unique skating in here, but for those of us who haven’t written a chapter in the hipster manifesto, It’s a little hard to focus on the skating when an avant- guard art project is simultaneously taking place. It’s genuinely confusing & distracting…who is asking for that artsy hipster crap?

This was beautifully shot and edited and I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say the HVX/HPX footage was colour graded with Dehancer cause it work beautifully with the film B-Roll shots 👌
