Wow, I can only imagine what this instrument is going to sound like in 50 years after being well played and taken care of. Wish I could be here to hear it.👏👏
Attach either a ToneRite or a Tone Traveler ( both are great products, with the Tone Traveler costing more, but it does have more capabilities & settings.......but the cheaper ToneRite works just fine ) onto the strings, and get "50 yrs worth" of played-in tone quality in a matter of weeks........with some acoustic guitars, a matter of days. They really do work. I now own 3 ToneRites for all 3 of my acoustic guitars. Not only do some really big name artists swear by them, some guy on youtube posted a lengthy video with a totally scientific approach: he played the guitar before using the device, and showed it's sonic range on a computer graph. After treatment for several days, he tested the guitar again. Not only did he say he could definitely hear and FEEL the improvement in overall tone, volume, and sustain, he showed the actual results on the computer graph, and it proves the difference. All 3 of my new acoustic guitars ( purchased from late October 2023 through February 2024 ) definitely sound better after using the ToneRite on them. I'm yet another guitarist to be added to the ever growing list of convinced guitarists. I've been playing guitar since 1974 and gigged professionally for 17+ years, all over east/central Florida.
"The Wilborn Beans" - You could have some advertising fun with that. A can with a comma soundhole etc. It's hard to beat a small-body acoustic for so many things: writing, recording, practicing and just plain enjoying the experience of playing the guitar.
Sensational Ben!! Ok, challenge time!! I'd been hounding you for some time to build a baritone, and you came through with the charity guitar last year and mailed it!! Can you go the other way? Can you build something even smaller than this Ibix model? Maybe a 6-string Guitalele? Higher tuned than a standard guitar like the baritone is tuned lower. Maybe tuned A to A? Is this possible? Is it even worth considering?
Ben- You should definitely build one for yourself, and record it on day 1. Then day 30. Then day 365. After that do another recording 5 years later, and compare them.
OMG.... Mr Wilborn sir , that's one serious instrument...so many voices. And like I think I might 'need' one too.👍
For such a small guitar body, that thing is a cannon. Amazing instrument.
Wow, what a sound coming out of such a small instrument!

Wow ... there's so much sustain in this instrument, it sometimes sounds like you've added reverb to its channel. Well done, Ben.

Absolutely stunning, puts the Martin D-45 to shame.
Your guitars always amaze. Just tone and more tone. This is loud and well balance. Well its hard to make a living if would eat up what you make.
I've been saying for YEARS that parlor guitars should be 13 fret.
That guitar sounds great.

It is. I’ve thought of it many times- a mini guitar tuned from A to A, as if it were a regular guitar capoed on the 5th fret.
@@wilbornguitars2923 Sounds like you've got a new project!!!!😂🤣
Very nice guitar!
Some close ups would have been nice...

Absolutely!
Your clamps to reach the bridge to glue it must be way long.
