It's a guessing game, as far as I can tell. I just got it last night and charged it. Never noticed any LED's light up.

@@avneetsingh2010 - Thanks for the reply. I'm going to have to read over the manual again, because I didn't see any mention of oiling the blades. It's always been my experience with trimmers that you should put a couple drops of oil on the blades.

@@avneetsingh2010 - I certainly shall. Kohl's has this on sale for half off and with Kohl's Cash I had in the app wallet, I got the unit for $10 and some change! But I'll let you know by tomorrow what I find out about the oil requirement.

I do not like it, leaves a great big mess of hair everywhere worst than a barbers electric clippers. Hair flying into my eyes and all over my clothing and all around. You can’t use it in the shower or get the main device wet. It’s cheap and comes with of different size clips and nose trimmer and that’s about the only good thing.
