They might not have been the absolute best dirt bike in any given year, but they were always works of art. My personal favorite would have been the black tank,6 speed CR 500, not totally sure of the year. The open class two strokes that iv'e owned are the 1980 CanAm 400 TNT, 1981 Maico 490, 1983 Honda CR 480 and a 1998 KX 500. I loved them all and would still have the 98 KX500 had my buddy not landed it upside down and backwards off a 3rd gear jump a minute into his test ride. He should have taken a minute or two to get acclimated to the power as he just gotten off his 86 honda XR 250. He fixed it, sold it and paid me so all was well. I am in the process of converting my 2005 KTM 525 EXC 6 speed to a street legal supermoto. I hope to take my 1st supermoto ride in the morning!
I wish I had kept my 1979 390 WR, and my 1988 430 WR. I do have my 1994 360 WXE. I don't buy Husqvarna chainsaws any longer, I just like the new Stihls. I may own a Husky sewing machine one day, but will likely never own a Husky rifle.

I just built my 22 Husqvarna FE501 into a Supermoto ... Great fun !!
Brother had a 84 250... first ever bike I rode, some fond memories of the ole husky 👍
