She came in 3rd. American Idol surely helped her. She's amazing and is now in a group including some of the biggest American Idol success stories - Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson being the biggest- but surely will join the list of the other 20-25 who have enjoyed tremendous success. Only Carrie Underwood seems to appreciate and be thankful for the power of American Idol. It was the most popular show of all time. True- since it went to ABC- it's been ruined -as the most successful performers used to be able to develop fans due to the extended seasons and long result shows and ABC screwed up the formula. The condensed format is ridiculous.

As an uncle to two young nieces this song is amazing. The world needs more of this.
I am 53, and I think the Victoria’s Secret catalog came out in the 80s when I was a teen (I don’t think they had stores yet). According to them and 97% of the population, I did not have a “perfect body” (big boobs, skinny waist and juicy bootie), but didn’t suffer from an eating disorder. Still, the message of this song is the singular most important one I think I have heard (along with Lizzo and Meghan Trainor’s All About That Bass), in like, all time. I laughed and cried when I heard it on the radio with my 15 year old daughter. This song will save young lives and heal older lives. Bow down to Jax! ❤
well, bottom line: I don't look good. I wish I looked like a greek Adonis. And I wish mankind would look good. I know, that everybody hates putting skinny girls on TV, but actually we should try to be that. Because we were born to be healthy and good looking. Not to be fat. If we start to accept, that there are ugly people - where are we heading with this? As a mamal we are basically animals. We need to be attracted. That's just the way it is. So - sorry - we need to keep our genes pure. Fat, ugly is a no go.

I can't stand statements like "I am overwieght, but I feel good". That is not good. We weren't made for distroying our bodies. As a reminder - I look like s**t too. An I wish I wouldn't. There is no reason for being proud of being overweight. This is not our nature, to accept this

I dedicated this as a love song to myself. I laughed and cried when I first heard it. I am a 36yo single woman who grew up during Victoria's Secret's rise. I was convinced that I would not find love until I was thin because VS, the movies, and the media painted the story that the thin models got the guy. My insecurities deeply affected my relationships and I thought I got what I deserved less in love (and life) because, "Well, the thin girls get the good guys." I'm single at 36,sexy, happy, beautiful, charming, still curvy, and this song is my rallying cry!!!

Couple things...#1. perfect song. #2. awesome guitarist #3. wonderful vocal performance #4. after watching this several times I am convinced the real hero of this production is the sound engineer and how they have this rig dialed in perfectly to the performers. captured perfect. Inputs all sound no background or shuffle or environment. Every critical quiet moment seized flawlessly (psst, hey dummy) and every other noise silenced. Kudos awesome job

There are people in this world who think that good music died after the 80s. Wrong, there are great songs coming out, still, and not just remixes of classic hits. This song, yep, it's a goody. It'll probably be a classic 30 years from now.
