YOU CAN UPDATE THE FIRMWARE on this controller even though the instructions tell you not to. Put the device into Bootsel/USB mode (hold the boot button on the back of the controller), and it will appear as a drive on your computer. Drag and drop the latest firmware into the drive, but make sure it's the latest stable version. The controller will reboot when the update is complete. Thanks again to Tikitaka for sending this over. @@VidVayder The split layout and wrist position helps me out on 2p side with double fireball motions for supers. Normal leverless layout makes me tilt my wrist and makes it harder from 2p side.
I just got my mavercade plus s4 keebfighter, Im never going back to normal leverless layout. The split layouts are so much more comfortable, not to mention the 6gawd layout for attack buttons on mine. Jonyfraze hit the nail on the head when he designed the 6gawd layout.
That S4 does look good. I have to agree the layout is very comfortable even if I never had an issue with the 'standard' layout to begin with. It's growing on me! I don't know much about the 6gawd layout, I'm assuming it's the inclusion of the massive button to the right side of the action buttons?
You can swap the buttons out but keep in mind that you’d have to match the button caps with the switch connections. I personally quite like the rough feeling on my fingers. Maybe I’m weird like that 😅
This is a really cool looking controller. I just can't justify the price. I really want to try one of these but at $100+ I am fine with my haute42 t16, r16, and my mayflash f500 flat... and obviously I dont really need another leverless.
Man I have been watching all of your videos on leverless to decide on my first one and I was trying to decide between the M16+ and R16 and now this split controller looks really appealing too... Which of the controllers do you prefer/recommend?
Thanks for the support man! Since it’s your first leverless, I would recommend the R16. It’s not too expensive, and you can have fun modding it with art. Use the R16 as a baseline to get an idea of what you like. If you feel like you need smaller, aluminium, or split layout you can go from there. As for my favourite, I been thinking about that today. Will probably make a ranking video at some point.
I play on pad but I have a question about leverless. Are split layouts better for people with larger hands? I am interested in leverless but I have large hands and most of the leverless look like they would hurt / cramp with long time use. I heard online that split layouts are good for people with larger hands and help with cramping with long term use. Is this true?
Split layouts are generally more comfortable yes, for most people. I certainly find them more comfortable! There are a few to choose from now including this Tikitaka one.
Was about to buy a haute42 or wait for keen brawler. This price is hard to pass up! Was wondering though, how did you use the wind engine v2 switches if this controller only uses choc v1's? Thanks!
It can use both v1 and 2. It’s just that the button caps are designed for v1 so you’d have to get v2 style button caps if you change the switches. You can see in the soundtest that I use different button caps for the Crystal and Wind Engine switches. There’s a link to v2 buttons in the pinned comment. Haven’t heard of keeb brawler before, I will look it up. Thanks :)
Thanks for the fast response! Since you swapped to v2 switches, have you tried using caps aside from nylon? It doesn't say on the website the width of the plunger itself.
Look into a dongle called Mayflash Magic X. I don’t have one but I have heard it works like the Brook Wingman. In theory the Magic X should work very similar to the Brook Wingman for PS5.
Sorry man but I don't have any advice on that. Try asking on the r/fightsticks on Reddit. Otherwise, look for buttons that are very low profile and curved on the edges. Let me know if you find a good one :)
Haute42 just released some new button caps btw. They’re sending them to me to test so if they turn out to fit the Tikitaka and also feel good for sliding I will update you bro.
@@vitomarseglia5444 Hey, so I tried the new haute42 button caps on this Tikitaka. I would say they're just slightly better for sliding because the material is smoother. It's more to do with how low they sit in my opinion, and both the Tikitaka and Haute button caps sit at the same height. I've found that my technique can make a difference. With the Tikitaka it feels nicer to slide on the joint of my finger or by rolling my finger so that I'm using the side of it instead of the flat base part. I show this technique in my DOIO review if you want to check it out. Skip to the button test section. Also want to add that if you do get the Tikitaka and intend to change the buttons, be careful when removing the buttons. I broke one by accident, but they do provide extras :)
Haha that’s usually the way it goes. Well this doesn’t seem to be a limited model so you can always grab one if you’re still thinking about it after receiving your snack box.
Interesting, why do you say that? I thought that controllers just need SOCD cleaning and to make sure one button = one input. What makes the Pico/GP2040-CE not tournament legal?
@@arsonne Ah right. I just did some research and apparently it depends on the tournament. But as I showed in the pin mapping section, you can map the buttons to whatever you want, or disable them for tournaments. So you're right in that my button layout wouldn't be legal in some tourneys, but the controller itself is fine. Appreciate the heads up brother 👍

Now another one i have to heavily think about 😆
Great video mate🔥
Thanks bro. Yeah there seems to be more models coming out at a fast pace!
Thank you for purchasing our product.
Just got mine. The buttons are really rough feeling. I vastly prefer the feel of typical buttons, but the layout is nice.

@VidVayder thank you for the reply. I will look into split layouts when I buy one. I just subscribed based on your leverless tutorial video.
@Yardbank I appreciate that thank you 🙏 good luck when you start your leverless journey!

@satchfuji yep, in the sound test I used the button caps from my R16. They’re not nylon. They fit into the plunger.

That sucks. Maybe you can wait until you need a bigger order and combine the shipping costs then? Not sure if it works that way 😅
