this is sick I was wondering how long until someone got there. Legality wise touching the bottom of the top plate is completely fine, the only thing you'd have to be weary of is making sure the chain and top of the top plate dont hit anything inside your robot, as that would disqualify you for the RP even by accident
Ben, thank you for your concern! Like the many other Ri3D teams made up from mentors, this bot is 100% for inspiration and nothing more. After tomorrow this bot wont be used for anything more than driving around for fun. The bot wont see a competition. There are many amazing threads on Chief Delphi!
Yup, exactly! Us mentors on RustHOUNDS are trying out designs as fast as possible so that students can take inspiration and build machines they are proud of!

So is it any contact or just contact at end of match?
@tecnicraze its any contact that isn't momentary
You also can't touch the inside of the bars
@ The vertical bars? I'm almost certain anywhere on those is fair game, I would double check the manual or lmk where you read it if i'm wrong

This is awesome, great idea!
how much does it weigh?
Somewhere between 70-80 lbs without bumpers and battery.
? though u cant though the top of the cage when climbing
Currently we aren't actually touching the top of the cage, all of our leverage is coming from one of the bars.
U need more time to complete this, less heavyness gets a better outcome

@@marcusford2855mentors shouldn’t be working on the robots as stated in the rules
you should look up what an Ri3D Team is
@@bentyler7912 first, there are actually no rules against that. second, those robots are not going to be used in competition
