Greetings from a Texas litter picker. Sounds like a pretty bad stretch of road. Thanks for your work.

Great job and such a beautiful area. Why on earth do people litter pick!?!

Re: Why on earth do people litter pick!?!
Surely, the reason should be obvious. To make the world less trash-filled and a little-more beautiful.
A much better question is: why do people go to a beautiful place and despoil it by leaving their trash?
Answer: Because people who do that are bad people. They are lazy people. Because they don't treasure nature. Because people who leave trash, are themselves trash.
FYI: Trash doesn't just disappear, most of it hangs around for decades. Plastic bows around until it lands in water, where it stays. When it rains, it starts its journey to the sea and eventually enters the ocean where it migrates slowly into the ocean’s gyres. See ocean garbage patches. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is an area twice the size of Texas or three times the size of France.
Plastic slowly degrades into smaller and smaller pieces and we all contain pieces of microplastics which are suspected to be harmful.
