If you were in the crowd, it was totally annoying. I've never been at a festival where the crowd was so incredibly bad at just shutting up for a song or two.
Actually makes it feel more lonely… almost if he's singing just for himself. Nobody seems to notice or care, or at least is seems so. Like some people, being lonely amidst a crowd. Forgotten.

most rock musicians struggled with where to go, but Thom went somewhere amazing.
I think it's cause he doesn't think too much about where he's going, he just goes there. Let's the creativity and whims take him where ever, no worries about what anyone else will think. He's kind of the man.
This album came out when my grandmother passed away... this song reminds me of her so much :(
She died before 6am that day right when the birds are singing their dawn chorus maybe that's why. I will never forget that day.

Yeah I recorded the stream. I missed the first 2 songs which were Impossible Knots, and Black Swan. EDIT: I have lower quality versions of Impossible Knots and Black Swan now. I enchanted the video as much as I could, but the audio may not be as good as the others. Otherwise I have the rest of the songs Harrowdown Hill

love absolutely everything about this besides the monotone vocals. don't understand why he chose to do that.
It definitely makes for a unique song and sets the mood a certain way that other songs haven't. But it'd definitely be more favorable if he sang some lyrics falsetto or something. Changing it up. First thing I noticed when Anima released was Dawn Chorus could of been a bit more colorful with the vocals.
alxRfHk I agree, the monotonity is a good stylistic choice for much of the song and that's what would've made a few changeups all the more powerful. like if he really went deeper into the vocals in the last minute or so or emphasized certain phrases throughout
