Tiffany beat and starved her husband's daughter. The husband came home from work and saw his daughter having seizures. He was going to call 911, but he didn't because Tiffany was on probation after having put her hands on his daughter before. She asked him not to call 911. The child died a short time later. Tiffany decided they needed to burn the body and he went along with it! She got death and he got life in prison for agreeing to testify against her. When you are complicit, you are just as dangerous as the direct perpetrator.

I experienced a similar situation when I was growing up too. I was put in "the closet" at different times in my childhood and to this day I suffer from clostephobia. It is a shame that the mother is trippin like that. She's crazy. I come from a family of 11 siblings and..well it was crazy growing up and I vowed to myself that if I ever had children, which I did, that I would never raise or treat them like our mother treated us. This avoided all chance of appeals since they cannot see judge was unfair or cut them off even when they had clients for fools in representing themselves. Judge knew exactly what she was doing. Mother believes in her heart of hearts that she SAVED her oldest by locking him up for his own good. the father cried twice he cried when he heard recardo voice he started crying the guard gave him tissue the 2nd time was when his daughter was on the stand the father showed genuine remorse i could see it and he said that he would do whatever to be back with his children he would take parenting classes he said that in his closing statement to the judge and that showed me that he was remorseful but i felt nothing when the wife was speaking
This mother's attitude hit so close to home! My mom was just like her! I cried for the children bc they will forever be scarred and damaged like me and I'm 36. So glad they got what they deserved and I will keep all 10 but especially Ricardo and Issac in my prayers.

Actually I listened to their testimony. They said that he was down there as a punishment. They could have went down but chose not to. They appeared indifferent to his suffering. They had been indoctrinated by the parents and I do not think their reasoning will change as at the time of the trial each one wanted 1 their parents not jailed 2 to still get approval from their parents. Their compassion was voided by toxic parents.

Any mother who ignores a child with a medical need is not fit to care for that child. Her eldest had a fungal rash,bone loss and vitamin D deficiency. The youngest had to have surgery and chemotherapy, if her children were her world as she claims she would of stopped looking at how the world revolved around her and see what was really happening.

They can’t see that his upbringing was most likely the key contributor to his errant behaviour. I understand why some parents might prefer to home school their children. But children need interaction with their peers, and formal schooling provides that. How can the parents justify not allowing their son to bathe? How can they justify not taking their other son, who has a nasty, painful skin cancer on his abdomen not being given access to appropriate medical care? He now faces painful and protracted treatment for a condition that was allowed to become so advanced it could kill him. The sheer arrogance of the mother in particular is extraordinary. She is apparently above the education system, so she wants to home school her children. She is apparently above the medical system, so she doesn’t seek medical, treatment for her ill son. And she apparently soooo exceeds the competence of those with legal degrees, that she opted to represent herself. Yet she chastised her son for showing excessive pride. Instead of suing the judge and social workers, Wimbush should sue herself for ineffective assistance of counsel. She seems like a pathological control freak. Maybe she can use some of her prison time to reflect on her own pride. It seems her husband has shown remorse, at least. Kudos to the judge in this matter, who treated the defendants with respect, and who was extremely patient with the parents’ embarrassing performances as “lawyers”

The judge did a really good job throughout this trial, and her sentencing speech was excellent. She was considerate, wise, and explained just how awful their behaviour was as parents, especially to Ricardo. I hope her words sunk in and they’ll each think on them and the mistakes they made. Hopefully they’ll become better people so that they can have a loving and meaningful, and healthy relationship with their grown children, should their children wish to see them.
I like this Judge. The facts and circumstances were inhumane and merits the court's sentence. This kind of treatment is unreasonable and unfair. She did the unthinkable and she needs to see how her child felt being confined to the basement. They needed a TIMEOUT!
When you have that many kids it's hard to keep up with them when it's only two adults in the house. So, why have that many? It doesn't make sense. They didn't ask to be here. To be treated with the care they were given shouldn't be given to a dog. Justice has been served. I hope and pray all the children forgive and move on to be better than their parents and realize this was for their own benefit. Poor babies.

@selah , I thought they were with aunts & uncles. Isaiah was living with an uncle during surgery and was when he testified. During the trial they was sitting in that room with an aunt. I belive the siblings of the father has the children. They started out in the system YES but ended up with relatives. The children are separated
It would have helped the parents' case, if they had provided evidence verifying their claim that they had Isaiah examined by a hospital doctor who then diagnosed it as something harmless.

Her self rightious behaviors were suggestive of a histrionic and narcissistic personality disorder. The inability to reflect on how she imposed punishment, not discipline, on her two boys says it all. Her husband appears to have got it at the sentencing when he requested counsel from hereon.
I feel bad that the 2 boys were singled out for no contact until they are 21 while allowing contact with the other 8. They are going to feel that they did something wrong and the court is punishing them. Wish the judge had gone with the request to deny all contact until 18 for all 10 children.

Actually I listened to their testimony. They said that he was down there as a punishment. They could have went down but chose not to. They appeared indifferent to his suffering. The son who had been detained in the basement had exhibited some disturbing behaviours, which the parents allegedly attribute to his having been immunised. *eyeroll*. They can’t see that his upbringing was most likely the key contributor to his errant behaviour. I understand why some parents might prefer to home school their children. But children need interaction with their peers, and formal schooling provides that.
How can the parents justify not allowing their son to bathe? How can they justify not taking their other son, who has a nasty, painful skin cancer on his abdomen not being given access to appropriate medical care? He now faces painful and protracted treatment for a condition that was allowed to become so advanced it could kill him.
The sheer arrogance of the mother in particular is extraordinary. She is apparently above the education system, so she wants to home school her children. She is apparently above the medical system, so she doesn’t seek medical, treatment for her ill son. And she apparently soooo exceeds the competence of those with legal degrees, that she opted to represent herself.
Yet she chastised her son for showing excessive pride.
Instead of suing the judge and social workers, Wimbush should sue herself for ineffective assistance of counsel.

The judge did a really good job throughout this trial, and her sentencing speech was excellent. She was considerate, wise, and explained just how awful their behaviour was as parents, especially to Ricardo. I hope her words sunk in and they’ll each think on them and the mistakes they made. Hopefully they’ll become better people so that they can have a loving and meaningful, and healthy relationship with their grown children, should their children wish to see them.

@selah , I thought they were with aunts & uncles. Isaiah was living with an uncle during surgery and was when he testified. During the trial they was sitting in that room with an aunt. I belive the siblings of the father has the children. They started out in the system YES but ended up with relatives. The children are separated

She presented as a wannabe lawyer/minister to her and her spouses' detriment. The idiom; he who represents him or herself in a court of law has a fool for a client. Her self rightious behaviors were suggestive of a histrionic and narcissistic personality disorder. The inability to reflect on how she imposed punishment, not discipline, on her two boys says it all. Her husband appears to have got it at the sentencing when he requested counsel from hereon.

I feel bad that the 2 boys were singled out for no contact until they are 21 while allowing contact with the other 8. They are going to feel that they did something wrong and the court is punishing them. Wish the judge had gone with the request to deny all contact until 18 for all 10 children.

They thought that since Casey Anthony got off after being responsible for her daughter's death & Ethan Couch killed 4 ppl while driving drunk and was given ONLY probation because the judge said he wouldn't fair well in prison due to being rich & not knowing any better. All of them deserve life without parole for being negligent & stupid.
