I remember this because I was a kid as well. We just knew Janet was going to be a star. I always tell people that the difference between Janet and the artist today is that she was on a big stage way before turning 10 years old. Yes, her brothers made it possible but the whole family had talent and it was clear when they had the variety show.

The music industry is messed up and lot of horrible things happen.. But I don't get a creep vibe from him at all.. (and I'm really looking) Usually there's some sort of sexual undertone, hints of inappropriateness, a predatory or charismatic energy.. Micro expressions of arousal/desire/lust or deceptive in nature..
I think he felt safer and got along better with children.. Adults probably tried using and conning him, ppl are horrible and selfish and manipulative.. Kids (most kids) are simple, they're young and innocent, MJs always seemed to me to have a childlike mentality so I imagine he identified with them more than agenda driven grown-ups..
