The more they push the accelaretor the better chance they have to making out of the corner. Thats because they put the car in the direction of exit even before they enter a corner. Thats what enables them to go so mindblowingly fast with high tech cars. Its incredible to watch. Almost like they defy the laws of physics🤩
The next generation of World Rally Championship Cars Will probably be even faster though, But maybe a bit ”too fast” and they Will probably have a lot of problems in the beginning.

I got a whole new appreciation for rally drivers after watching this. I mean this is nothing short of amazing. The fact that such small cars can carry such enormous testicles is a miracle.
WRC drivers are just heavily possessed beasts- a sane human in no state can drive like that. And WRC fans are the best in Motorsport- no bias, no booing, just having a good time seeing the cars fly past.

Don't even try to tell me that F1 drivers are more skilled than rally drivers. F1 drivers are driving on consistent grip on a high visibility track, meanwhile these guys are doing 180 km/h on gravel in the forest around curves.
Yes, but F1 drivers are able to find the 0.001 time differences on the track. They are more precise, whereas WRC drivers main skill is to be able to adapt to every surface in every condition.

The WRC drivers can't. Also the driving conditions can change drastically with weather and surface degradation from other drivers before you. There are so many more variables that can fuck up your race in a rally than in a formula race. A deer isn't going to run into the tracks of F1. WRC drivers are way cooler and have a much bigger challenge than F1 drivers. Rally drivers need to have a co-driver because they only get to drive through the stage once in the shakedown, meanwhile F1 drivers get practice weekends for the same circuit. The unknown is what makes WRC drivers way cooler and more skilled. Sure, being able to shave off milli seconds off of records is cool and all, but not knowing what's behind those trees while going 180 km/h through a turn is way harder than knowing exactly where you're going.

I've got massive respect for all these Rally Drivers. But, the driver with the Hyundai and Toyota race cars drive with massive precision and to me, (and i could be wrong)🤣🤣, those two drivers are real monsters. Shout out to the Citroen car as well. these drivers are on another level. Finland, what a country!!? Got massive landscapes for great Rally action.
These modern rally cars must be a lot faster than the group B cars that were banned back in the day. but I think the spectators are more safety conscious today
I doubt they are faster than group B cars. Modern rally cars have just better gearbox, suspension, and tires. If a group B car is upgraded with those and with 450hp or more like the Audi Quattro, Peugeut 205 T16, Lancia Delta S4 and Ford RS200 they would dominate.

Love the sound of rev-limiters making overtime.
It's not Rev limiters, it's the anti-lag for the turbos detonating fuel outside the cylinder in the exhaust to keep the turbo spooled up.

Possibly the only racing motorsport I can understand and think is worthwhile (unlike F1, Moto GP, Nascar etc).
