It was difficult to put together as many as 4,000 pieces of the puzzle by the Polish company Trefl. But I admire you how much effort you put in to complete the puzzle. Respect.

Do you record a movie or taking a pictures? If pictures, how often? If movie, how much data do you have at the end?

I take photos with an interval. If the puzzle is small (1000-2000), I set 15 seconds. If I suppose it will be easy and someone will help me, I set less. For larger puzzle, I set 30 seconds. If the puzzle turns out to be difficult, I speed up in post-production so that the film is not boring.
It works for my speed. It all depends on how quickly you assembly and how long movie you want to have. If you like math, it can be calculated, if not - trial and error.

hi, I am wondering how you managed to put your phone so high to record it? Did you taped your phone to the ceiling? by the way, great video!

      Hi, can you answer that?

Sorry to answer only now, I had an unplanned break here.
You almost guessed it, the phone was attached to a shelf above the table, close to the ceiling. I used magicarm.
The next puzzles were recorded with a mirrorless camera. I record this way until today. The camera is also mounted close to the ceiling.

I have this puzzle and it’s so cool to see that we did things in very similar orders, like connecting the exact pieces and then coming back to them later. Very cool. Red first, then the two horizon lines on either side, then outlining the yellow, then doing the yellow. Although you did the sky very early. I’m just over a month into mine and I’m just over halfway done. I only have about 1/4 of the sky done :/ any tips? I’ve just been trying every possible piece on each place with at least two connections so I can tell if a piece really belongs or not

Thank you. I chose sky earlier because it was easy to find pieces and sort. Of course, I started by grouping by shapes. Little tip is: sky on the left side is warmer (more yellow), on the right side is more colder (more blue and white). It was helpfull for me. Only after I finished, I saw the beauty of this painting. Good luck with finishing.

What kind of camera do you use to capture your timelapse? I use a Raspberry Pi camera but images aren't nearly as nice as this.

I used my phone to make this timelapse. However, there are some problems with that and a lot of work with post production. So I'm still working on improving the method.
