I tried regular white mushrooms as meat it’s ok but boring so im going to get everything and start it this week! Right down to the potatoes & Brussels!! Yes, the tomato paste is vegan. I bought the tomato paste from HEB & the vegan bouillon cubes from Natural Grocer, however, you can also get it on Amazon. I hope this helps!
Aw man! It definitely makes a difference. To prep I soak it in water for 3 rounds of 10 min (30 min total). At the end of each 10 min I squeeze the water out of the jackfruit with a cheese cloth or nut milk bag, dump the old water, & soak the jackfruit in fresh new water. That does the trick for me 😉
