Talk living in the dorm. From what i know the trainees can stay in the dorm if they from outside of seoul (cmiiw), and for those whose houses are still in seoul and surrounding areas they can choose to stay in the dorm or back home. Then when they enter the new debut list, everyone must stay in the dorm. Sorry my english is so badㅠㅠ
As far as I know, I didn't know most of them, but I did know some, especially the most popular ones, like most companies, which have several apprentices and some later leave, there are always people who are popular for singing, dancing or rapping, in this case JYP already knew BangChan, Han, and Changbin since they were a pre-debut unit, but especially BangChan, I'm sure Yeji and Ryunjin too, like Chaeryeon, were very popular in the company. Aside from the fact that JYP does monthly reviews like you saw in this video, it's to see how far they've progressed and how qualified they are. In this case, only the best groups were presented to see who was the next group to debut, or at least to see who was going to remove that's why the Stray Kids✨ survival program was made to prove it.
Loved your reaction, waiting for ep2. Survival show is A LOT :D But it shows how talented and hardworking they are. Imagine your first mission to be to make your OWN song.. :D Hellevator (their predebute song made for this mission) is amazing and special for skz and stays.

With JYP not having put them together, he needed to make sure that they were up to his standards. Dumb concept, but it is a company after all. I've seen it said that he also wanted to make sure they could actually do it on their own. It does show a lot of their process and how hard they work tho! Also, there are some cute bonding and quirky moments. Be sure to be careful with these uploads! Is watching it on youtube safer for copyright than the strayksubs website?
