How I wish I had a ‘dealer man’ to bring me boxes of gorgeous things! I enjoyed looking at all your treasures, they are hard to find here in Australia. Love your style of creating and spend many hours watching your videos, thank you for sharing your creations
How funny your mum glued in things in her journal she still very clever,im the same Rachel i love old things i get more excited about op shopping or old colectable stores than clothes shopping,x
Thank you, what a great idea. We've just been cleaning out my mums house and have reduce what she can take to my sisters home and she's about to have her 90th Birthday, so you've given me an idea of what to do with a lot of her 'special' papers etc,
What a great idea! I love the cover and all the special pages! You could literally hear the disappointment in your voice when you accidently ripped that ones page. 🥺but then you perked right up with a fix! 💕
This is so amazing. Can't wait to watch more videos. The papers are so fantadtic. All of the different colors and textures. It will be an amazing journal.💖💖💖
I just love it when you work with “old worldly” papers! If you ever need an assistant, I’ll be on the first flight out! I’m just wondering what an archaeologist in 3022 will think about this book when it is found? Maybe it will be the only remaining bits left of books? Maybe people then will have never touched a real book because everything is digital? It’s probably a really good idea that you are making a “hoardsville journal”!! It’s really wonderful!
Had to laugh about your mom gluing things in have been tempted to do that myself a few times lol. I am so jealous of the lovely papers you have. I have gotten a few books and some of your paper bundles supposedly to use but so far all I have done is hoard them and occasionally pulled them out to look at. Thanks for sharing this idea you got from Pam. Looking forward to the next videos to see how it turns out. Take care stay safe.
This is a wonderful idea. It’s going on my list of things to make. I think printing on old blank book pages is a great solution for those of us that don’t have old documents. I printed your old document digitals on old blank book pages and they turned out great. Next best thing to having the real thing. I used those printed pages in my old documents and lace journal that I’m working on. I’m loving that project . Thanks for that tutorial. You are such an inspiration!!😄
I just watched your mom's lace journal and she did a wonderful job, it's very beautiful, really !! Yes, I also saw she glued some tags stuck 🙂 Friendly greetings from Belgium ❤
This will be an amazing journal! I love when you show all these old papers - you are so knowledgeable about them. I was just able to purchase one of your paper packs and can’t wait to have them in hand and see and feel them. I’m sure I will be hoarding them - maybe I will make one of these!
Fun project! BTW, a “jumper” in the US is actually what’s called a “pinafore dress” in the UK. You might call it the same in AU. In the US a jumpsuit is also a jumpsuit.
Never heard of that before. In Victoria Australia, pinafore is a full wrap apron pretty, full to floor or mid calf. Made with soft linens, cotton, the most popular was Laura Ashley print fabrics etc With or without sleeves and ruffles laces etc. The ones my mother dressed us in were prettier than the actual dresses underneath. But that was the point back then… the fashion focal was the pinafore. Rachel is from New South Wales (pretty sure) We have different words for some things between states .. ie. we call swimsuits “Bathers” in Victoria Other states say “Swimmers” Though I think pinafore being an olde worlde term is pretty much the same all over Oz.
Rachael, (if I spelled your name wrong I apologize) I loved watching your video today. That book is a great idea! You mentioned about how when you sell papers you don’t if they’ve been scanned. I wouldn’t mind that at all as I’m a long way from being ready to sell anything :). Do you ever sell just papers and or book pages? Please let me know. I also loved the last journal you sold...how long is the waiting list for one?
I have a bundle of book pages permanently in my shop. It has several of the rag papers (not usually the title pages) and other old pages. My list is a little long at the moment so the waiting list is several months sometimes longer. Thank you so much!
Rachel.....the larger rag-paper pages that you said you scanned, do you have a few of them left that I could purchase???? those ones with the larger initials at the beginning of the script....
making journals; my fave. And yes please Rachel a new set of papers, with beautiful old page decorations would be wonderful and much appreciated.
Thank you so much!
This is special food for thought, Rachel. Thanks bunches, Carol xo

I adore that painting. Someone would probably put it in a frame and sell it at an exorbitant amount. You don’t give yourself enough credit.

Rachel, your video is awesome as always. Is it possible that I could buy a piece of your original book paper?
Thank you so much!

Great video! Where did you get the little spatula tool to spread your glue? Is it sold on amazon or another site? I love it.
I bought it on Amazon, they are face mask brushes
@@roxycreations679 Thank you very much!
You are so sweet. Love you Rachel.
Which video of yours is she talking about? I'm not finding the link.
I would love to find the video too.
Thank you so much!
@@sandyhellebrand8740 I linked it in the next video.
Rachel what is that spatula like thing you are using to spread the glue?
It's a face mask spreader.
Rachel.....the larger rag-paper pages that you said you scanned, do you have a few of them left that I could purchase???? those ones with the larger initials at the beginning of the script....
At the moment I don’t have any. I will slowly accumulate more over time.
❤️
I’m so laughing that she glued them in.
🥰❤️🥰
Lovely! Do you have a sister with her own channel?
Yes she's Roxy Creations by Sarah. Thank you so much!
Do you ever put plain books with signatures for the creator in your shop?
I haven't so far but am considering it as I have many covers.
When you say straw paper are you meaning like card stock paper?
No i mena an Italian recycled paper.
That WAS the glue’s fault. It heard you say hate and it cursed you. Little does that strip of glue know you could crumple it with your bare hands. 🙄
