So I love this but I also have an interpretation that is probably silly: Is it weird that I find the song kind of sad? The "Love You Like a Love Song" part sounds like the speaker in "Set Fire to the Rain" is having a flashback to the early, happy part of the relationship. So then the end where you have both vocal tracks is like the woman trying to shout over/drown out the younger version of herself that still loves him.
