As a minimalist myself (I started just under 6 years ago), I'm very picky with gifts especially since Christmas and my birthday are so close together. I prefer consumables like bath bombs or chocolate, unless I ask for anything specific. If they cannot do that, just plain money I can put into savings is fine. I'm not afraid to declutter gifts straight away if I know I won't use them, and if people ask about their gift, I will be honest with them. With giving gifts, it's either someone they asked for specifically, or something they can consume. I gave all my university friends brownies that I baked for this christmas.
I love that you are honest with them if they ask about the gift they got you.. but what if it's from a mother in law and she knows you're healthy lifestyle but gets offended EACH time you get rid of something that she got your baby girl and you don't want it (she got baby girl thrifted clothes, which I loooove thrifting but washed them in her toxic chemical laundry soap and I can't get out the smell) now she's offended. I said if you want to buy her clothes pls brand new and she says "K." 🤣🙄
@@kayakalugin8644 I understand how you feel, however I am in a different stage in my life than you are so it might be a little bit easier for me. I've never had a boyfriend, so I'm not even close to having in-laws. My parents however get really offended if I get rid of a gift, even if it's a few years old.
I love these! I’m definitely gifting sourdough this year too…. I’m planning on making homemade Nutella and gifting that with some loavesfor my pastor’s family!
How do you deal with a MIL or mom who gets the flashy noisey toys and you don't want that?? Ask to return it or donate, and if so what is my response to them?? So touchy with in laws.. hate having drama with them but also hate biting my tongue and not speaking up. I honestly love this video. As it's our Russian Christmas today, Jan 7th! I def want to give the Pique tea a try and hoping to get more board games and something for my husband. We started getting loveevery boxes a few months ago and we love seeing her learn and develop! I love the low budget/ free gift ideas. You put so much intention into this video and I truly just want to say, well done it is so helpful!!❤️
The alarm clock is crazy expensive, I mean it’s a clock. I appreciate the brain juice suggestion though as I recently heard my brothers talking about this.
Awesome! ♥️💯 / Everyone please make sure you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour! He is coming soon! Please don't be left behind! Repent and accept Jesus! JESUS LOVES YOU! John 3:16, Revelation 20:15, 1 Corrinthians 15 1-4
You seems like an amazing woman of God. Especially love the minimalism and intentional life you have. This consumeristic or wasteful lifestyle is not what God calls us to! Abundance is one thing, but abundance does not mean wasteful!
By consumerist I mean - "Consumer Christianity is just what it sounds like - we treat Christ and His bride like commodities that exist to serve our wants."
I absolutely ADORE the dinner invitation gift idea. My in laws are the people who want and need for nothing. I think this is an amazing idea!
