Will the market crash or rally on this week's interest rate news? Stocks made a good comeback this past week and appear to be optimistic going into the US Fed announcement on interest rates. A simple technique can help predict what way the market will go and I share that with you this week. Then, my analysis of the stock, commodity, currency and bond markets and, finally, the trade of the week on a big Friday gainer, SMX.

Most people will guess crash which means rally for sure.
I think it’s more so about how much the cut is. If Powell cuts 25 then rally, but if he cuts 50 that is a sign he is admitting he made a mistake, and that would be more likely down.

Subscribed for the good content. One small recommendation: use a remote mic close to your mouth to reduce echo and improve overall sound.

Way to many other Indicators showing the consumers are not buying. Lay offs, and Gas price just to name 2. Consumers are tapped out, Wait for 3rd Qt numbers start coming out next month then see what happens.

Hi, Tyler, I do enjoy watching your experience in the Market gives you higher probability of winning. I never jump into your band wagon because of the tax implications: some experts told me that frequent traders don't make much money because of the commission, the slipperage, the hassle of reporting to CRA, and the tax we pay on the gain meaning we have to split our gain with CRA! So, the effort and time we spent on it doesn't justify. Thanks!

Hi Tyler. Great video. Been getting into penny stocks like your SMX example. I have been trading them since Jan of 2024 but my results are 1 step forward and 1 step back which is crazy bcuz they move so much. What was it about SMX that you liked besides price action? As I recall on that day there were probably 2 or 3 penny stocks that had big moves. What made u hone in on SMX specifically??? News catalyst? Or ???? Thanks Tyler. Love the videos.

thanks my friend, nice analysis and insight as always! i'm looking at the universion of the 10 vs 2 yield curve after the longest inversions in history. this universion has almost a perfect record of calling an impending recession. the question is; will it even matter to this market anymore? its difficult to say since the fed seems to trump everything anymore with its stealth liquidity program after the GFC. One thing seems certain though; we should see a lot of volatility until the election. trading environment should be fabulous.

Did you guys forget what happened 2 months ago when the fed didn’t cut rates? Short memory huh! The market dropped. So why in the world would it drop this time if they lower the rates.
To me Spx made matching highs and ndx did not look at history that looks ugly
