The TIMEX Ironman has been in my life for decades. It was replaced with the Apple Watch for the last number of years and I just decided to go back to it. it is strictly a nostalgia play. It is comfortable and durable and everything the video says, but in reality, I just like it and it brings me back to a time when I could actually run a few miles. The Apple Watch is incredible, but for me, the Ironman is more than enough and for under $40, it is not a big commitment. I may actually buy another one just for fun! (Try that with an Apple Watch)
Nice video... I was always fascinated w watches, esp. my Air Force navigator Dad's miltary glow in dark watch. My first watches were Seikos as I lived in Japan as a child. Then I got a Mickey Watch, when I became an RN I got a graduation Timex w red second hand and white band, used for many years, then graduated to a Casio digital w timer so i could time clotting times. Casio stayed w me most of my career. I did go back to my dear RN Timex. I'm now back to Timex Ironman and Casio now w big display so i can read watch w/o my glasses.
Just bought the Timex TW5M49400. Similar to this one but 43mm wide with step counter, calorie counter, heart rate, 2 alarms, chronograph, timer, data and work out plus of course the indiglo with an extremely comfortable strap. Here in the UK it cost me £54. It’s well worth the money and I’d fully recommend it. Always liked Timex watches. They’ve had some bad press over the years, but overall, their watches pretty good, reasonably priced and good alternative to Casio watches which I have found be equally as good, but too chunky. Timex range is huge. They have something for everyone. The only negative if there is one is that the volume of the alarms seem to vary from model to model. Some are louder than others. Not sure why, but it’s not a deal breaker. Great review by the way. Looking forward to viewing more in the future
This is a cool watch! And a cool review! Perfect legibility, rugged, night-glow is superb. I’m married to Casio, but it looks like this is the perfect “affair” watch! My first watch (the first I can remember of) was… a Casio! In Italian we say “il primo amore non si scorda mai” (more or less “the first love is never forgotten”) and I must admit it’s the case for me and Casio. So it’s No wonder that Timex has a special place in your heart! Thanks for the video!
Great choice! Love non-smart watches, and this timex looks killer. I’ve had one in my amazcart for quite some time now… I might finally “click it” after this review
Using it from past 6 years. It went through many harsh environment and survived . Still running good . Recently Indian market price is too high (almost double) comparing to US market prise.
I love my Timex watches. I prefer this to my GShock, because it is easier to set and forget, when you vary watches worn. The price is also more attractive and the Indiglo works better imo.
I'm just curious, which watch do you think is better... Casio G Shock or Timex Ironman. I've had both but I started wearing the Casio AE 1500 to accommodate my old eyes. Great review, thank you...Rick
That's a great question! In terms of durability, G-Shock is the winner by a long way, the strap design of the Timex Ironman is it's weak point (known to break) and not replaceable with any other straps. But, the display of the Timex in my opinion is far better than most of the G-Shock's with their much smaller LCD. Better battery life too with Timex and just a more classy design overall, and of course that very cool American watch making brand history. I too suffer these days with deteriorating age related eyesight, it's what draws me to watches like Timex Ironman, Garmin Instinct Solar and Casio AE1500 which I've also reviewed, amazing display and quality watch for the price! I shall soon also be reviewing the Casio TRT-110H which I think is another very interesting watch from Casio due to the large display and interesting module functions for such a cheap price, vibration alarm and an extremely rare countdown delay stopwatch feature amzn.to/3QOzqs9 Thanks for your feedback and comments Ricky!
@@CoolRunningReviews great review! Is it just the strap that is the weak spot? I notice that the Ironman Triathlon Shock series now have mineral glass as opposed to the resin in this model, as well as improved shock protection and 200m water resistance for only a little extra money. That gives them similar specs to the G Shocks though the strap looks similar to this model.

So it is a mans watch? It says womens watch on amazon, but i only noticed after i ordered it.
@@billybatts9491 they do a smaller size to this model, this is the full size. Perhaps there lies the confusion...
@@CoolRunningReviews it's missing two screws already!!!! Haha! Shoulda got the g shock!
@@billybatts9491 from the strap?

Love the description of a watch affair 😂, thanks so much for your comments!
Great review! Just got the Timex Ironman x James Brand collab instead of a smartwatch.

Thanks so much for the feedback, shame the prices have doubled where you are. Its a great watch but the price needs to be right as well.
I have a small wrist and this watch is perfect for me. But sadly In inda its price is around 111 u.s. dollars. its is too pricey for me.

I have the triathlon classic flix. I now am going to buy this one in the video. Thanks!
Thanks Dixon! Nice watches you will own.
I also had a Timex. I remember the slogan, Takes a lickin and keeps on tickin!
Thanks for commenting 🙂, it was such a classic slogan of that era. ❤️ Timex
