I wish everyone would stop saying what they think these women should do or try! Apparently what they have been doing has been working for them for years that's why majority of us watch their videos and want to get our hair where theirs is already!
I love the fact that they take the time out to really care for there hair. I mean I have short hair and it's stressful trying to maintain it, care for it and get it in condition. Then I see there hair and think to myself, well if I think it's a real struggle maintaining my short hair now how easy do I think it's going to be later on when it's even more healthy and long. This video along wit the rest of your videos about achieving healthy natural hair gives me LIIIFE!!! Thank yall for it. I just can't do braids or weaves no more, I just want to maintain, grow and take care of my own natural hair. I used to be lazy, now I'd rather go natural and really take the time out to condition my hair instead of throwing on a wig or getting some braids, I'm just over that whole phase I guess. No shade to the ladies that do wear weaves or braids nothing wrong with it, keep doing you, I'm just doing me# thanksforthevideo😘

Never understood why so many assume that because an african american has long healthy hair that she must be mixed. Its about individualism (some prefer to be short) and based around proper hair care. Yes, i'll admit some do not realize the importance but others like myself take good care of our hair. I'm african american and my hair is the same length as theirs, not to mention I went natural 3 yrs ago. Before then I was relaxed with a dramatic a-line bob (by choice).
Def. Beautiful without makeup.. Neither of you should apologize for not wearing any... Love you guys and how your helping me with starting my transition 👍
Some of the products I used were different but I used the same method from start to finish and my hair turned out gorgeous. It's so silky, soft, straight, and it has so much movement. I been natural for 3 years now and have never accomplished these results when
Omgggg, the growth in both of y'all is so real!! I've been a subbie since 2012 and you girls have grown beautifully personality shows more hair is longer and makeup is better!! I love seeing the growth🌷
i love you guys, me and my sister always come to you guys when we have question on how to do our hair, how to wrap it up because honestly with a single and hard worked mother she is never home but thanks to you guys we get our questions answered and plus me and her as well have our hair grown out too nine is down my back and hers is to her shoulders. Its great and we wanted to just say thank you and keep doing what yall are doing! Bye!
I thoroughly enjoyed this. Makeup or no makeup, you guys are gorgeous, and your hair turned out absolutely beautiful. I'm a guy, but I still subscribed...lol. Thanks for posting! Oh, question, where did you guys get the music for the video? I like the song choices.
BackToBeautifulHair can you imagine all the questions they get... daily ...from hundreds of videos...from hundreds of people. if they tried to answer every question they get theyd never leave the keyboard
uuumm iiii didn't say that you did. in all honestly what youre saying is if they cant sift through and answer each individual question they shouldn't be doing this. that's like saying if will smith cant write fan letters to everyone who says they love his movies he shouldn't be an actor. girl bye smh
You two deserve an award! I have like 1/8 that amount of hair and get so tired washing, DC and blowing and flat ironing in a day. So much gorgeous hair, you guys have patience!
Just think come August this video will be 10 years old (anniversary) yayyy lol but seriously I'm a ride or die for you girls and still revert back to this video every hick up I do with my natural hair journey. I've had heat damage, dry ends, product creams and gels that didn't mix well after wash n' go smh having to start all over again. I'm laughing at the huge pause on Kelsey blow drying ( don't know if it's just my computer or not but it was frozen from queue 6:25 -7:55) lol doesn't matter still my favorite video and will continue to watch it over again. Just want to say bless you girl's and it's the simple thing in life you may not think of will help to lift someone's else spirit like this cute innocent O.G video.
dyrandoms so who cares their human and won't wear makeup all the time plus that's still no excuse to apologize we shouldn't care if they wear makeup or not.so once again why would they apologize for wearing makeup?
i don't think thats why she said that. she said it moreso because they always wear makeup on this channel. I'm not saying theres anything wrong with them not, they just pointed it out because its different from the norm. no problem in that.
Wow. I will never cease to admire women who can go through all the steps to a beautiful flat ironed look. I am way too impatient, so I have perfected the twist out, braid out and updos. Well done, ladies!
I just got my Macadamia oil deep repair conditioner in the mail today and I deep conditioned for about an hour with it...let me just say....this will forever be my deep conditioner! I love it! Thanks ladies for the video!
People are so petty, arguing on someones video. I appreciate this video and thank you glamtwins you both are very inspirational and motivational and I will start subscribing whether you comment or not. People still buy music from an artist when they don't even care about your existence. But at least they care enough to make a video even tho its hard enough to do thick hair and they take there time to record, edit, and at least try to comment. People have lives to live you know. Don't talk about them because they are humans with emotions and other things to worry about!
Nice videos. You should try a blow dryer that had the *PIC ATTACHMENT* it would make it a litte easier to get through your hair. Nice videos I've been watching them the last couple of days. Almost bought the *Chi Nourish Intense* at Marshalls yesterday but I put it back I wanted to see some more reviews on it.
IsisAthena523 afro hair is different to others in fact all hair when it come to certain things. not everything is 100%. i have similar hair and when i go hairdressers thats what they usually use. depends where you go.
monique Muffin Some people will jump on here acting like they have a beauty school license from the Aveda Institute or something and tell you something opposite of what has been proven time and time again to not be entirely true. For instance, certain people would tell you that "When heat is close to damp hair, no matter what the texture, it causes heat damage". Since you were talking about blow-drying, that statement wouldn't make sense because if that were the case then what would be the purpose of a blow-dryer if ALL heat on wet hair was damaging? The only time that heat is totally damaging on wet hair is if it's direct heat (so don't use a flatiron or something that directly touches your wet hair), you over-dry it by drying it until it's 100% (let it be just a tad bit damp when you stop and let it air dry the rest of the way) and/or you don't use heat protectant before you begin. But as long as you use heat protectant, do not dry it to 100% and don't use a flatiron on wet or damp hair you should be fine. At least that's what we've been taught in beauty school (and my school focused on the health of all textures). So ask around, pay attention to how YOUR hair reacts to certain things and be particularly weary of people who specifically state that people with their hair in a certain state (natural, relaxed, texlaxed, etc) know more about hair than anyone else. Hair knowledge has nothing to do with whether you're natural or relaxed. It's about knowing how to care for it no matter what state you choose to wear it in that shows that knowledge of hair care.
I absolutely love you guys! You two totally inspired me to follow my dream and become a cosmetologist. Also to go natural and still be able to wear my hair straight every now and then. My mom has been putting perms in my hair since I was 2 years old, and when I turned 3, I started getting perms at the salon. Since then, I've always done perms. Now I've been 6 months natural and I love my natural curl, I'm between a 3C & 4A. Love you guys!!
Denise Castillo yes!! This is the question I need the answer to. Every time I try to straighten my hair it looks straight when I pass the flat iron, but then it doesn't lay it just poofs out and reverts.
Leslie Lewis they set theirs to 400 degrees. They say most of what's key to their silky straight hair is all in the blowouts. Does good thorough blowout before a flat iron
Anyway I'm 1 year post big chop! My natural hair is the length it was before I big chopped... you guys are so inspiring gosh! I hope my hair is this long 3 years from now! I straightened it once and I am challenging myself to refrain from using heat until next winter! :) I love my curls... they aren't as pretty as you guys' s but I love them all the same!
I am so confused on what is going on. Lbvs. I asked the question just because I wanted to know. Sorry if me asking them a question offended you but it was just a question
stacykiss she never said black women cant have beautiful hair she asked a simple question thats like me asking a random person are you a vegan and you saying anyone can have a beatuiful body its just curiousity calm down please
Never in my life I have seen so many stupid questions located on 1 video before!! Dayum! But anyways I need to get one of those Sedu flat irons, they look like they work wonders.
They do! But, just to warn you, in my experience, they also don't last long. Had 3 different ones over the years and it's happened every time at some point. The cord wears out SO easily. I stopped dishing out my money to those since then...
prettyyy makes me proud to see this because you guys inspired me to take my weave out i was so busy trying to stay trendy i lost my beautiful thick hair but i took my weave out and will be starting your hair care routine. a girl actually did a sew in on me so tight that if i wouldnt have cut it that day my edges would be gone.
Rihana Sanni I don't but I'm not saying you are putting down relaxed girls, but girls who have relaxed hair can have just as much healthy and long hair as natural hair girls.
Ok I never said they couldn't. And not many natural girls have long or healthy hair I just think it's better and more beautiful then using chemicals to destroy the texture you were born with .
Hi guys, I love your videos. They are awesome. I would like to know if the products you use are specifically for black people's natural hair or there are products for whites hair.
Do you all get paid for showing the products? It seems like you use a LOT of different products in your videos and I am going broke trying to buy them all lol
I just wanted to say I love ur video and thank you soo much for making this. I've been watching ya'll for a while now and tried ur method of wearing my natural texture of hair for 6 months and I gained sooooo much length. I'm relaxed and started my 6month journey on March 1, 2013. I wore a weave (protective style) for 3months and braids for 3months with 1 week of wearing my hair out and free while constantly moisturizing. and my hair grew 12 inches long. will do this again in the winter.
Your video was in my suggestion , I'm glade I watched it! I'm newly natural and I thought about blow drying my hair , but now I'm considering doing the works. I see your believer and that's always a plus in my book. Keep up the good work by sharing what you do with others!
get the results you want as soon as you want, but eventually you will. This is part of my routine that i started after i cut my hair. I flatironed and washed my hair too much and it broke off. I kept cutting until all my relaxed ends were removed. Ashamed, i kept it braided to hide the length. i washed them only with conditioner, and put moisturizer and leave in conditioner in them 2ce a week. My hair was two inches long when i started, now its shoulder length, 8 months later. My new record.
I really love you girls and do appreciate all the vids you have shared. That being said I really don't want to offend anyone but I have a question: what's up with using the kitchen sink to wash your hair? I mean, I'm from Brazil and maybe that's a cultural thing, but that's the last place I'd use to do it. The kitchen is where we make our food. Hair and hair products don't go together with it, no matter how much you clean everything up after yourself. Love you!
Likely because they were filming a video and wouldn't film themselves in the shower also they're kitchen sink has a hose sprayer so that might also be why. To make it easier
Idk about other black families but in many black homes the women and young girls get our hair washed in the kitchen. I'm not really sure why but it's just something we've always been doing. I don't like to wash my hair in the shower because I feel like I'm drowning and can't really breath so I prefer the kitchen much more.
I agree with you. My family is black from Jamaica and we would never do such things. We also don't wash babies in the kitchen sink either. We might not always wash our hair in the shower, but we will ALWAYS wash our hair in the bathroom. It's probably an American thing because I have seen even my Hispanic American friends do it in the past, right before they flat ironed their hair with an iron. Each culture has its own life hacks.
Candice Swanepoel See how interesting culture is. It never occured me it could be like this. Also I've never heard of a person who would feel like drowning when washing his/her hair in the shower. How unique. Thanks for taking the time to educate me, Candice! :)
GlamTwins I Watch Most Of Your Videos , Because I'm Going From Relaxed Hair To Natural . And Right Now I'm Taking Care Of My Hair Because My Hair Is Damage. your Videos Are Very Helpful To Me .
I'm subbing just because I am excited to see what else I can do with my hair. I'm so tired if this new natural phase and people with no hair telling me what and how to do my own.
omg THANK YOU FOR THE SHAMPOO METHOD my hair is so thick and curly especially at the roots that i have to section it off and shampoo part by part and the chasing method... LOVE IT
YESSSS!!!! They SO should do a video on how they keep their hair straight for 2 weeks! Btw I've watched this particular vid hundreds of times to! Love it just that much! lol! =)
i work in a nursing home and have to keep my hair up i usually were a messy bun i work twelves almost every day so i freak out thinking bout my hair breakin off during the days its up. how would you suggest i wear it to keep the stress off it? i want about 6-7 more inches its a pretty good length now but since i seen yalls vids i been inspired to grow longer.
You ladies have gorgeous hair.. I've tried going natural numerous times but my texture is NOTHING like yours its much more kinkier, not soft at all. So I feel like I HAVE to rely on relaxers. Love your vids... Bless!
Thanks a lot... This was truly helpful.. My daughter hair is naturally curly and this will save me money with u ladies techniques!! Love the brush idea with the flat iron
You all have some beautiful hair. I'm gonna try to grow mine that long. I've been natural going on 3 years now an it's already to my shoulders. Also what do you think of motions. That's what I use
I used this routin and it worked ! The one thing i did wrong was i used the the leavin as a heat protection to flat iron. Not a good choice. Iam 17 weeks post and my hair has never been softer. Thank you !
Can y'all do or one of y'all do a product update on the macadamia oil and the benefits y'all hair has from it ? and the shampoo and conditioner and Oil ? please.. just a video thought.
Lovely tutorial once again.Question I'm about 8 months into my transition stage and whenever I have my hair either washed or just co washed and deep condition i still don"t have the curly look it always has the texture and look of the look you had it after it was blow dried. The frizzy buff look. How do I get the curls to start coming out more. Thanks
Loved you're video & being able to see the process you go through from curly to straight. I also have super curly hair that's kind of a pain to straighten. Just wondering if you ever tried blow-drying in smaller sections with a round brush & direct heat on the smaller section? That's how I blow dry mine (and everyone else's) & it definitely gets the hair straighter & cuts flat-ironing time in half!! Just a suggestion- love your videos & you guys definitely have beautiful hair & a great routine.
love the hair. thanks. my hair is so similar. except mine frizzes humidity. what you recommend? what type of hot iron is that? looks like it works miracles. & hair conditioners what kind do u use? thank you!
So i bought the detangling comb shes using after the hair wash and its awesome. Their routine is awesome as a foundation to work off of. Just tweaked some of the products used. Using the brush for a silk press has been awesome as well.
beautiful hair! I need to step my flat ironing skills up! lol I gotta try that Tressemme heat tamer spray this weekend. You two just got a new subbie! :-)
Thank you for the video! Products were mentioned in the curling step. What were the products used in the washing, conditioning and blow drying step? Thanks ladies, you are appreciated!
How often do y'all moisturize y'all hair? And how do y'all keep it straight after moisturizing? Please do tell what kind of moisturizer and flat iron yall use
See this video is very important! I learned something from the glam squad that helped me with flatironing my 4a/4b hair... That dang bristle brush! Thanks Twins! My flat iron hair was great! I only with through each section twice, if that. so bouncy and lite. Technique is everything!
Wow my deep conditioning routine is exactly like my regular conditioning routine: shampoo, condition (deep or daily) wash my whole body & then rinse out the conditioner. I have a shower cap so I may have to dry this method you guys have even though I have thin-medium hair cut in a bob that's growing out a tiny bit.
i purchased the Remington Wet2 dry flat iron to eliminate blow drying. my hair is to my bra now it takes to long to do both. You might want to try it I got it at Walmart for 24.97. I love your videos and they have been very helpful
Nostalgic sigh…. The video that started my natural hair journey, memories 😊

Do you all get paid for showing the products? It seems like you use a LOT of different products in your videos and I am going broke trying to buy them all lol
They just always change their products
Stephanie Wilson lol
Who else is watch in August, June, July, or September
Is it just me or do they look like the girls from the girl group cherish
They do !!
And who tf gave this a thumbs down? 217 haters
I think your hair looks beautiful with its natural texture before and after blow drying!!
get the results you want as soon as you want, but eventually you will. My new record.
you dont get scared youll accident snatch one of those ear buds with the flat iron lol.
As I think u guys look prettier without the make up not to say that there is anything wrong with wear on make up
I really love you girls and do appreciate all the vids you have shared.
TheBeautyRoom99 I see your point here...

Beautiful sisters

you guys look somali/ethiopian/eritrian :)
You should try the maxi glide flat iron it is amazing !!!
I use a brush (Denman) when I flat iron too! Results are straighter with less passes. Good job and awesome tutorial!
prettier without makeup
I'm subbing just because I am excited to see what else I can do with my hair. I'm so tired if this new natural phase and people with no hair telling me what and how to do my own.
Do you guys have a makeup tutorial for your look at the beginning of the video? I really like it and want to know what colours you used!
I have been binge watching all their old videos
Love your layers Kendra!
I LOVE how ur hair is layered! Beautiful hair!!
omg THANK YOU FOR THE SHAMPOO METHOD my hair is so thick and curly especially at the roots that i have to section it off and shampoo part by part and the chasing method... LOVE IT
YESSSS!!!! They SO should do a video on how they keep their hair straight for 2 weeks! Btw I've watched this particular vid hundreds of times to! Love it just that much! lol! =)
You guys are so pretty, and your hair is GORGE!!
i work in a nursing home and have to keep my hair up i usually were a messy bun i work twelves almost every day so i freak out thinking bout my hair breakin off during the days its up. how would you suggest i wear it to keep the stress off it? i want about 6-7 more inches its a pretty good length now but since i seen yalls vids i been inspired to grow longer.
Dunno how many times ive watched this vidoe. I love it. My question is-how do u keep your hair straight for that 2weeks?
Thank you for sharing your routine. your hair beautiful. What do you do at bedtime? Do you wrap it or pin it up?
You two have such beautiful hair. Love these videos, they're very helpful!
You all have some beautiful hair. I'm gonna try to grow mine that long. I've been natural going on 3 years now an it's already to my shoulders. Also what do you think of motions. That's what I use
I did the curly style not for six months but for four wow I got about three inches very happy. Love Ur layers did u guys do them or get them done ?
I love your hair, both of you. I might not have the same type of hair but I'm getting there. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
Thanks
im so jealous of that length. im only 16 and i would .love to know how you got it to grow so long.
What is the flat iron that you are using and where to find it? I love your videos. Thanks so much. You guys are beautiful inside and out!
I love u guys videos!! So informative!! The only natural hair vids I can watch without being bored :)
beautiful hair! I need to step my flat ironing skills up! lol I gotta try that Tressemme heat tamer spray this weekend. You two just got a new subbie! :-)
Thank you so much for this video! I tried to straighten my hair before, and it never comes out straight enough! I'm totally going to try it like this.
Thank you for the video! Products were mentioned in the curling step. What were the products used in the washing, conditioning and blow drying step? Thanks ladies, you are appreciated!
read the description box!
OMG such beautiful hair !!! Inspiration !!! Music ? 🎶
How often do y'all moisturize y'all hair? And how do y'all keep it straight after moisturizing? Please do tell what kind of moisturizer and flat iron yall use
Goddesses I LOVE your hair!!! You young Queens look beautiful rocking the natural curly look!
I love this tutorial, what type of flat iron are you using?
See this video is very important! I learned something from the glam squad that helped me with flatironing my 4a/4b hair... That dang bristle brush! Thanks Twins! My flat iron hair was great! I only with through each section twice, if that. so bouncy and lite. Technique is everything!
Wow my deep conditioning routine is exactly like my regular conditioning routine: shampoo, condition (deep or daily) wash my whole body & then rinse out the conditioner. I have a shower cap so I may have to dry this method you guys have even though I have thin-medium hair cut in a bob that's growing out a tiny bit.
try*
My goodness! You gals have alot of hair! absolutely gorgeous
Honestly you hair looks most beautiful at 3:22. So natural and lush
i purchased the Remington Wet2 dry flat iron to eliminate blow drying. my hair is to my bra now it takes to long to do both. You might want to try it I got it at Walmart for 24.97. I love your videos and they have been very helpful
I was wondering why shouldn't you apply deep condition to the roots of your hair and if that goes for protein treatments too
right
