The lighting makes Day 2 look lighter than Day 1 🙈 there isn’t much difference in color between the two days, but I promise Day 2 is darker than Day 1 lol
Yes the benefits are instead of regular lotion we can use this in between to keep us moisturized so our self tanner doesn’t look crazy fading and it adds color to keep it refreshed looking
The good thing about gradual tanners aswell is that they dont wear away looking awful, I cant use other tanners other than gradual it takes too long with other tanners and it fades nicely it doesnt fade badly like some do. This one doesnt make you orange either unless its over applied, it's the only one I've used that doesnt have an orange tinge unless I put it on too regularly x
I don’t follow beauty guru’s because they always tend to overly praise products or #justsponsored . But im so picky on my selftans that I randomly watched one of your video’s . You are sooo honest you say things like they are and that’s why i subscribe and actually take your word !
I use the ultra dark tanning mouse then the next day I use the lotion and keeps my tan nice and dark for days. I use my hands and it works fine no stains.
Just saw this stuff for 50% off at my Walgreens. For $10, its probably worth a shot but I have never tried this brand before so I got regular Ultra Dark tanner instead. Hoping it turns out less orangey than St. Tropez. So stoked its cheaper!
I actually thought it smells better than most. But body chemistry is different with smells and fragrances . Oh and I love bondi sands. I want to try the ultra dark lotion they just came out with. I use the milk everyday to up keep my tan and hydration because I'm so dry. I also do regular moisturizers also at different times obviously. I'm a red head and jergens and Nivea are not good on my pale skin. The milk is great. Right now I'm doing the liquid gold aero version. But I also use the dark and ultra dark also. I keep them all in my cabinet.
I really want to try their ultra dark as well! I have the same issue with the Nivea and Jergens' self tanners, I think they have an orange undertone or just lack the blue/olive undertone that these self tanners have and when you are really pale the undertones matter! I really just want to try bondi sands entire line since I love the color so much lol
I used the bondi sands aero foam ultra dark, colour is really golden however on the face it went dry and made me break out. I have just purchased this and going to try it on the face, I bought a foundation to match my bondi tan but still wasn't dark enough so hopefully this underneath will help.
I really want to try the ultra dark formula (just waiting for them to release a 3hr version lol), but let me know how this product works for you! It doesn't break me out and I feel like it adds a nice glow to your skin 😄
it is a good product, subtle and easy to apply and which dries quickly without making transfer but on my face it burns me for 10 seconds but it is the only one which does not make me odd streaks and weird lines.
I agree it’s one of my favorites! Do you still use it in your face or have you stopped due to the burning? I haven’t had this reaction to this self tanner but in the past it’s happened to a different one to me but I think it had to do with my skin being dry
@@caseyelizabeth1930 Actually. I use this tan with "isle of paradise" drops every other day on my body and only gradual tan on my face. You won’t use so much product if you use your hands & not a mit. Just wash your palms after applying it. Great product been using it for years. From Australia
I just tried the Bondi Sands Aero and I put it on my upper thigh just Incase and it was definitely green I looked like I had a bruise on my thigh. Thank God I didn’t put it all over.
Do you put this ob your face too 🙈 i’m going through phase when i don’t wear make up on most of the days and would hate to have slight tan all over my body and then my face be pale and look like an odd twat 😂😂🙈

It kinda takes about 9 hours to develop I put it on like a few hours before bed then wake up tanned, it's not dark dark but it's like a medium natural tan just gives a glow so you arent as pale. If you arent happy with how dark it is put on more the following day x
@@clsm2195 it goes darker the more you apply it yeah, just like any gradual tan it can go orangey if overapplied unlike with the wash off ones but I've found with this one that it gives more of a caramely tone when I build it up rather than a full blown oompah loompah tone x
I bought this one because I had the liquid gold self tanning foam and I absolutely loved it but after a few days it starts to rub off even if I apply moisturiser a lot throughout the week. Will this one be less heavy on my skin and will it fade away instead of needing to be scrubbed off?
JJ I found this self tanner to be very low maintenance! I am terrible about remembering to moisturize and this stays perfect for me for 5-6 days and by the 7th day it’s still nice and has faded pretty evenly but I’ll notice a little bit wears off where my elbow bends so I usually just lightly scrub off the rest and reapply that night
The only self tanner I noticed that just fades away is the St. Tropez Express Tan and the Extra Dark version of that as well....I took a swim class twice a week in college and the express tan didn’t budge even with all the chlorine

I apply this once a week and the tan usually starts to fade around day 5, but it disappears around day 9. It lasts a long time that I usually end up applying another layer to be darker before it fully disappears lol
Hey girl hey! Was looking for a review of this product and clicked on your video and didn’t even realize until your name came on the screen that we have the same names hahaha awesome ☺️😂
Casey Elizabeth I’ve been using it everyday since I got it so hopefully I’ll start noticing a change. That’s so funny tho if I wouldn’t had watched your video I would of thought it was a normal lotion 😂
unfortunately it won't help once the spray tan is patchy because the color this produces is lighter than your actual tan so it will not cover up a patchy tan
I apply this after I shave and exfoliating and then it lasts around 7 days, but if you want to get to the dark color I am in the video I applied it for three days straight and then it lasts 7 days (it just naturally fades away so I don’t even need to scrub it off). You don’t have to wash it off since it has no base color, so just think it of as a regular lotion. The bottle lasts around 8-10 uses! :)
Hey! You don't have to wash it off which is one of the plus sides to gradual self tanners, I always tell people just to treat it like a regular body moisturizer 😄
Aisleen McBrearty No unlike instant self tanners there is no color guard layer you have to rinse off, so you can just think of it as a normal moisturizer (that happens to give you a really nice tan lol)
Casey Elizabeth brilliant! Just got it in the post yesterday and used it today for the first time but just wanted to double check from someone who has used it. Thanks for the quick reply!!
I usually just shave and exfoliate before I apply the tanner and then shave when I need to throughout the week. I wouldn't recommend exfoliating until you reapply the tanner, I am terrible at remembering to exfoliating and I never have an issue with the product clinging to dry patches

I just bought this on Amazon and there’s no blue-green tint at all. Did they reformulate it? Does anyone know? I hope Azon isn’t selling a knockoff! I was really looking forward to the weird blue tint because I desperately need a guide to know where I’ve already applied. Since this is a “gradual” tanner hopefully my mistakes won’t be too terrible.
I think it might vary a bit from person to person because I didn’t go blue or green with it either, and mine definitely wasn’t a knock off x I know people that have used it recently though that have had that unsettling blue/green tint right after applying though.
I really recommend this gradual self tanner because it just gives you a nice glow and the blue tint to it will make sure you don't turn orange! I am very pale as well so I know the struggle of trying to find a tanner that looks natural on our skin tone
I bought this thinking it was tanning LOTION to help you gain a tan outside and now I am a streaky mess and I gave myself a panic attack because I thought my hands were going Jaundice omg hahahhaha. Now that I know how to use it though - what an awesome product! I have colour after a week of use.
hahaha oh no! I think the name of it is misleading though since I've had many people either think the same as you or they think it is just meant to extend the length of your self tanner
but if you are looking for a product that helps you get a tan outside I highly recommend the Maui Babe Browning Lotion (sold at Ulta)! I am fair as can be and somehow I can actually get a tan with it and its relatively cheap in comparison to products like Fox Tan, which I have also tried but for the bottle size it is super expensive
I love it so much!! If you don't want to waste product to the mitt try a makeup wipe after on your palms it's perfect!! For some reason it smells like tootsie rolls to me 🤣 very nostalgic
SydSab23 😂😂 I’m thinking that I must have gotten a weird batch because everyone seems to love the smell lol but I’ll definitely try using a makeup wipe for my hands since I have probably wasted around an entire use with the mitt 😬
I just started using the bondi sands dark foam, but after 3 days the tan has faded on my face bc of washing it 2x a day. So I'm trying to figure out how to have a consistent tan on my face. Did you buy this one in addition to another product? or did you just use this one? & what do you recommend to keep your face a consistent colour?
I bought this product just to use on its own, however, I think it would be perfect to use to maintain your tan throughout the week after using your dark foam. I would apply it after the third day and that way it will refresh your tan and also add color to your face! :) another option to keep your face tanned is just to tan it every three days this is what I usually do when my tan fades away from washing it
I think it would help minimize the difference in your skin tone, but depending on how drastic the color difference is I don't think it will cover it completely
Hey! I saw a difference after one use, however, I am very pale so if you are a bit tan it might take one or two applications for you to see a difference
Loved this vid!! Your probably using too much product because of the mitt your using to apply it with babes, if you didn’t use the mitt you probably wouldn’t use as much, I just use my hands and don’t use anywhere near enough... quick wash of the hands before you tan the back of your hands last and you don’t get orange palms 🥰❤️
I’ll have to try out your method! The mitt definitely absorbs a lot of it, but I get so nervous applying a tan without a mitt since I’m afraid to get orange palms 🙈 I get flashbacks from my high school days lol
I wanna try this way.. you said u washed your hands before doing your hands but how do u put the grad tanner on your hands at the end without getting it on your palms

I have a t-shirt tan, can this product help with that?
I think it would help minimize the difference in your skin tone, but depending on how drastic the color difference is I don't think it will cover it completely
Can you use it on your face?
Yup! I always use it on my face and haven’t had any issues with it causing my face to break out
Was there any transfer of color on sheets or anything
if you make sure to wait for it to completely dry on your skin before going to bed it won't transfer 😄
Hey, I just got this today. How long does it take to see a difference? 💞
Hey! I saw a difference after one use, however, I am very pale so if you are a bit tan it might take one or two applications for you to see a difference
Casey Elizabeth Ahhh, Thank you! i saw a difference after two applications (got a bit impatient). It looks so nice though P.S great video. :’) 💞
Thank you!! 💕it really gives the most beautiful brown tan
I wanna try this way.. you said u washed your hands before doing your hands but how do u put the grad tanner on your hands at the end without getting it on your palms
silver_04 I basically squeeze a little dot on the back of my hands and then rub them together like back to back? Hope that makes sense! 🤗
Chantelle Louise omg thanks for the quick reply. I thought to that but does it blend well between the fingers? xx
silver_04 Yeh I sort of interlock my fingers to make sure it goes in between, I wish I could explain it better 🙈
Glowing goddess ✨
Do you have to exfoliate before use?
I didn't and had no issues with it clinging to my elbows and ankles and I think its because its very moisturizing on your skin
Can you apply with just your hands x
yes! 😄a lot of people prefer to just use their hands since it won't waste as much product, but just make sure to wash them afterward
@@caseyelizabeth1930 Thank you so much 💖💖💖
Awesome video! Great review.
thank you!! 😄
Lovely review. Thank you x
Please review Bali body gradual tan!
I prefer gradual tans... and sleep in them.
I definitely will order their gradual self tanner! 😄I actually just got their ultra dark self tanner in the mail today so a video will be out on that soon, but I am starting to find that I prefer gradual self tanners as well especially in the fall since they are easier to up keep!
Great review....from Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍😃
thank you!! 😄
can i put it on the face ?
I put it on my face and my skin was okay, but I don’t recommend put it on daily since I think it will end up clogging your pores
Hi Casey, sorry to comment to yoy so many times today. I am loving your videos, and you, you so good to give great super info. I am as said earlier form Denmark Copenhagen. I would love to help you to get this st. tropez everyday gratual tanning. Here the prize is round about usd 9,11, so great right. I would love to send it, if it is not to much for you to send from here to you. xo Henriette 💜
so weird, I just got one yesterday and it smelt like Coco butter
I'll have to buy another bottle and see if maybe I got a weird smelling one because I love the Coco butter smell!
Is this self tanner non toxic?
I believe so, but on their website they do list the ingredients so I highly recommend checking that out before purchasing! :)
Thank you!
I’m from Australia can’t stand the Bondi sands one I but the Hawaiian tropic one smells and feels better
And you definitely don’t use as much
I’ll definitely have to check it out! I love the color the bondi sands give but the smell is pretty strong unfortunately
Casey Elizabeth definitely get Hawaiian tropics one is pretty sure it’s an Australian brand too but You can’t smell anything I gladly use it every night the Bondi sands I’ve attempted to buy 2 different bottles but can’t stand the smell lol
I’ll have to figure out where I can buy it in the US :)
how did you manage to use that much in one use lol
😂 😂 the fear of missing a spot 🙈 I honestly probably went over most of my body twice because I was not use to using self tanners without a color guard lol
@@caseyelizabeth1930 lol we've all been there should have seen my first time omlife 🤣 my mum was laughing so hard but I wasn't
@@kanikajohnson4533 🤣🤣 the first time my sister spray tanned she bought a bottle from CVS and thought you had to use the entire bottle...she was as orange as a highlighter 🤣 it took forever to go away lol
