To those who are confused how glass works,there are air bubbles in between the glass,so if you just strike it in one point,it could break in seconds.

@Triangle pfp so the air bubbles holds the structure of the glass,so if you use a sharp item like a knife and use the sharpest part to strike it,all the force would be focused on the edge therefore destroying the air bubbles and shatter the glass.
