I personally find RS200 more attractive. People may find the tail light ugly, but I find it attractive. It's just the KTM tag which brings 'vatt' to the bike . I have both of them and trust me with this, the RS200 is a better bike for daily purpose. :)
I love My rs 200
I think rs 200 is better because it has all features and loo mentanince so go for rs. And KTM looks awesome but it take costly mentanince.
rs 200 is better than rc in every aspects the rc is only better in quick acceleration though it give only top speed of upto 140 km/hr but the rs gives nearly upto 150 km/hr so overall the rs 200 is better and best value for money

I own a RS200. Within city limits i could never catch a KTM, no doubt i always try to race with one. But when it comes to bad road or off road riding, my pulsar is the best. I can easily get my bike on to a footpath if the road is blocked due to heavy traffic as the ground clearance is pretty good. In bumpy mud roads i find comfortable accelerating as it doesn't hurt my back and the ABS boosts my confidence of not skidding in case something goes wrong. Another practical advantage of ABS that i have observed is while turning in tight bends if i need to brake for some reason or other, it just keeps the grip intact saving me from mishaps, plus the MRF tyres also adds a boost to it. I have clocked my bike so far at 157km/hr with RPM reading crossing the red mark, but before crossing that mark i could easily reach 140-142km/hr on a straight road.
One thing that i didn't like about RS is the noise due to vibration, for which as a rider i can never experience the true sound of the engine. I have to sit as a pillion to feel the roar or wait for some other guy in RS crossing me. The gear shifting is pretty noisy as well. I don't like the mirror fittings either, they often turn loose and unlike 220F they can't be pushed in, but as i am confined to ride in a busy city like Bangalore i need them for rear traffic.
A small tip to compete with KTM: Keep the gears low to make sure the torque stays between 7500rpm - 8000rpm. Don't hesitate pushing it a little harder because that's where the engine of RS is made to be driven at. :P
love to get rs200...more mileage and top speed in recent tyms...gud combination...with rs i can go for long rides without any back aches
All of all think well....because BAJAJ bikes are KING OF "INDIAN" ROADS comfort in braking gripping of tires as well as performance.KTM bikes not works in public roads braking and gripping worst....
I own the Pulsar RS 200 . i do get a mileage of 40 kmpl out of it .. Its the only bike in the market today where you performance along with mileage .. Although KTM is good for sports bike experiance , But Pulsar is a Complete package - the best bike you can get in this price range .
So if you are looking for a bike for Bike for daily usage combined with good looks and performance - RS 200 is the better choice anytime .

I rode the rs200, felt the bike was quite heavy, and was quite hard to cut through city traffic unlike the ktm which changes directions quite quick. I felt that the pulsar's engine needs more refinement, on the other hand ktm is a global player the refinement is world class and the build quality too. Would recommend the ktm Duke 200 over the rs200. It will be in budget and has a riding position similar to that of the pulsar's.

the rs 200 is better than rc 200 and ya it is also a value for money bike.
If you ride rc200 you get back pain easily....... But with the rs200 you wont have such type of things
200 rs is more attractive (for me) because keeping in mind about its price range its the best bike in the market... rc 200 is more for guy's who can take out some more rupee from there pocket and have more desire for racing...but anyway you guys are best in bike show and make selection of two bike easy..keep up the good work
ktm has really poor Breaking system and its seating position is not suitable for daily Traffic rides.
lol U ppl say its "gareebo ka rickshaw". i owe that RS. Honestly even i luv ktm's engine and its styling but there is one thing that bajaj is still under developing state. Yamaha used to make bikes from long back and today when i ride yamaha R15 after RS coz of its shorter steering handles and long gear position, i feel bored, afterall machine is a machine u buy it feel it gud for few years get bored and u go to next one . Yamaha is the best bike but we still have to remember that bajaj is the first indian manufacturer of sports bike, its myt have copied some things from ktm but it still different one. Bajaj made NS200 by its own and what u have to say abt the CS200 which is one of the upcoming bike of pulsar and its styling luks perfect. Bajaj is now learning to make proper sports bike and i hope one day it will surely make the gud one's afterall its our own country's company bike and now bajaj has started to export its own bike.

1.Good look
2.Sweet sound
3.sitting arrangement
4.mileage
Things which i hate are given down below as cons -
1.cont. vibration on RHS
2.Weak fairings can get broken easily in city
3.Mirrors
4.front suspensions
I hope i was able to help all u out in my opinion both are the king of road,pulsar with compact specs and ktm with unbeatble stats...
Go for rs if used in daily purpose
Or
Go for ktm if used for racing
Or
Own them both and have fun....

Agreed RC200 is slightly better than RS200,u have to admit that KTM is making bike for sporty ride since it came,where as bajaj was just a pleasure ride and mileage,but now it has came with NS200 and RS200 recently so that's obivo that there has to be some drawbacks,yet bajaj is launching its CS400 and NS200FI,hope they r better that these,KTM has to be carefull in next Gen ;P

Dharmraj verma Honestly, I'm really torn between the two bikes. The RC offers a proper sportbike experience. I'd love to have one just for weekend rides, but not for daily use. The Pulsar RS200 on the other hand is a bike I could live with everyday. If I was forced to choose, then my opinion swings this way... for a proper sportbike experience, I'll save some more cash and go for the RC390. Otherwise the Pulsar RS200 would be my choice for the everyday grind. Cheers!

Hi Zeegnition ,I bought a new 2017 BS4 blue white Pulsar rs 200 on 12th of this month. But from the very next day i am facing various problems with this bike. The second day the bike suddenly broke down in the city and I pushed it more than 5 km to reach the service station. They left it without any checking as because suddenly the bike started then. Everyday i am facing starting problem and sudden breakdown .On 17th I went for the first service but in next 50 km the bike again broke down due to over heating. I made a video of it and showed them on 19th again i went their showroom. The cooling fan was faulty and to find out this problem they broke all the seal and pasting of the bike. The next day horn stopped working, faring making too much noise and now i am going with a new problem. The engine making annoying sounds after running a few km. I am very disappointed with the bike and i need a fresh one. Their is manufacturing defect in this bike. I need your help in this matter. please sir help me out in this situation. thank you.

I will always pick up the pulsar rs200 because it is value for money, it is offering the better function like fuel tank of the KTM rc is 9.5 ltrs and pulsar has 13 ltrs of fuel tank, rs is providing the ABS as an option which the rc cannot, that's all the reason for which I will take the rs200.

i would surly go for the RC200 because i like the looks and the sportiness , on the other hand like all the other pulsar's as years pass by the RS200 will surly produce more sound from the cheap parts that it is made of and the vibrations at high speeds.

Samay Singh Hey dude... I assume you're asking about the Pulsar RS 200. As I've mentioned before, haven't really tested this bike in the long term. But did manage to put in a 150-200 km highway stint in one shot on the RS. It didn't seem to give any trouble there. So I'm guessing 300+ km shouldn't be too much of an issue.
Plus lots of guys in my group own the 200NS, and we do high-speed (relatively), long-distance riding quite often. They haven't really suffered any engine reliability issues so far. Based on that, the RS should have even lesser troubles. I hope that answers your question... Cheers! :)
ktm rc 200 is for those who goes to college because its gives attraction then RS200 , and if your a badass guy go for rc200 , it does'nt give that much pain , and if you cant afford that much money go for Rs200 :D

Kiran Kumar Hey dude... ABS, or Anti-lock Braking System, prevents the wheels from locking up when braking very hard on loose surfaces like gravel or water. Generally, ABS provides a good safety net for emergency braking, but you might not see its effects if you're riding on good surface tarmac with the tyres in great condition. In my personal opinion, it's always good to have ABS on your bike, but I wouldn't classify not having it as a deal-breaker. Cheers... :)

Puneet Gola The RS200 engine certainly is the best engine Bajaj has ever made for the Pulsar. Now we can't speak about its long term reliability because we haven't tested an RS200 in the long term. But since mechanically its fairly identical to the 200NS motor (except fuel injection), we think it should have no problems in terms of reliability. Plus, this is also the smoothest Pulsar engine ever, smoother than a lot of other bikes in India. Hope that helps... Cheers!

Puneet Gola I know it might seem that I'm blowing Bajaj's trumpet, but there are a lot of Pulsar owners in my riding circles and I've personally seen Bajaj's quality go up drastically with every generation of the Pulsar. I don't think today's Pulsars will be too far behind the Yamaha R15 in terms of reliability. Of course, Yamaha is still better in this department - that I'm not denying. What I like about Bajaj bikes is that they're really economical to maintain and fix. I personally used a Pulsar 220F which I used for 4 years before I switched to the KTM 390 Duke, and it never really gave me too many hassles...

To reach the top speed for the rs200, you'll need a 4-5 KM long straight road.
Kevin Arnold Actually, it might need a lot lesser than that. The straight at the Bajaj test track at Chakan in 1km long. I was entering it at approximately 85 km/h (bowl exit), and was seeing 150-151 km/h on the speedo at the end of that 1 km straight.
