I had a 75 455 4 speed 30 years ago,i loved it but it had alot of problems,i ended up trading it for a new radiator for my 66 chevelle. I wish i could have held on to it ,oh well i still have the chevelle though .
I drove one of these back in 1976 after telling the salesman I wanted to trade in my 73 Dodge Dart Sport with a 340. The T/A didn’t start to feel like it was stretching its legs until I hit 100mph. Beautiful car but the last T/A with serious muscle was the 73 455 SD.
the 75 and 76 had a 2.56 rear gear with an auto and 3.23 with a 455 4 speed. Change that gear to a 3.73 with a spacer ( highest numerical gear that the housing would take. ) Now, you have bottom end instead of freeway gearing.
So beautiful, but one year late.... 73 and 74 are the years you want. Personally, 73 more than any of them. Prefer the bumper before the DOT regs kicked in.
GORGEOUS! hey, so I'm looking at my neighbor's right now. It's a 400 cid, all numbers matching, it's the original silver-blue paint in decent condition, always garaged, EVERYTHING original, black interior in fairly good condition, auto trans, only 65,000 miles on original motor n trans. I'm trying to find a rough value for her. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx.
Real pretty but wrong bird on the hood, that's an 80s decal, looks wrong on the round light car. and while I'm at it, the splitter tail pipe tips didn't come out till the 76 model year, 75 was a single pipe straight along the body edge.
This color is so beautiful. Nice iconic muscle car from age 70`s!

Take off the Cragar wheels and put back on the PMD’s with proper size tires ! And it would be awesome
Memories, i bought one new ,silver over blue in 75. My gift after completing boot camp.
Finally a good looking Trans, that's NOT like the ten million others , Black and Gold 👍
That rust brought tears to my eyes

True 75 6 and 7 were smog pigs but they picked back up in 78 when they put more engineering into how to clean them up.
The 74 SD also. 75 was the first year everything changed. I personally prefer the 73, as it had the much nicer front without the 5 mph bumper crap.

This is not a Pontiac color. In 1975 the color choices were red, white, dark blue and new for '75 was sterling silver.
Still have it?
Nice looking ride I like to have it can you give me a real good price on it
