Thanks so much for this! You're the first to show exactly the technique...step by step how to mix and pick up the paint and how to rinse and dab every time! Most tutorials have their pallets and water out of sight so i had no idea how to do this! I love your clear explanations and calm voice.
You are a wonderful teacher! Thank you so much for your thorough and detailed instruction. I am so appreciative of the repetition in showing and explaining each and every time you clean and dry your brush. The entire video is so helpful!
Just got to your brush section and wanted to let you know that Rosemary and Co have a US representative so you don't have to order from UK. I got my Michael Klein set in 4 days for $7 shipping. I just didn't want people to miss out because they thought it was unattainable. And you're the reason I bought the set, great for fur, and everything else! Wind River Arts, Chuck and Mary are the owners and carry the entire Ro and Co line. Now back to the video❤
Just an FYI about the US distributor. You CANNOT order securely online. You have to give them your credit card number over the phone. That's a deal breaker for me. And the Jean Haines mop brush is $5 more than the UK site. The only plus is that you can buy the Kolinsky brushes from them. But in the age of credit card fraud, I'm not giving a perfect stranger my info by phone.
@@AFAskygoddess This is funny for me because I've ordered from them 4 times, I like that its a "Mom & Pops" business and the only time I've been hacked is when I used Cheap Joe's and had to change my bank account. The fact that they aren't online and don't enter my info into a computer system/server means I only have to trust them. They don't keep my card info. But I do understand your caution. So you never use your credit card to order anything. I don't know how you do it. How much was your shipping cost from the UK?
I bought cute colors several years ago because they look fun. Bad plan 😪 Since watching your videos, I have been slowly rebuilding a palette based on your recommendations.
@@RebeccaRhodesWatercolorArtist thank you so much! I signed up for your classes! I am so excited! I have started the ostrich today and will order the gator board today!

That's great! I hope it goes well for you. Stay in touch!
I see on Amazon that black gator board is much cheaper than the white ones. Does the color of the gator board matter?
I don't think the color matters. I like the 3/4 an inch to an inch so it's sturdy.
