This is most helpful and well done! I set mine up a little differently regarding the EQ's. I run pink noise through the mixer from my phone, and then measure the output (in the venue) with a calibrated mic attached to an ipad. I then I set a pleasant main curve using only cutting frequencies, not boosting. Then I tweak individual channels to suit the voice or instrument. I've had good results and the added equipment cost is negligible. Just my two cents. Cheers!
I´ve just bought this mixer it has so much volume almost enought for my performance, i´m using it with a Kemper and a computer to play on backing tracks...bad things are: no splitting channels (left and right) and no more exits except for mains, pro: not heavy, very easy transportability and friendly to use. Finally is only a multichannel amplifier with effects 🤪
Most of what you described is incorrect ! The -25 dB Pad button is used when connecting a device that has a high output like some keyboards so they don’t clip even when level is down. What you keep referring to as xlr is actually rca.
i just found one of the newer versions of this thing in the garbage. thats why i looked it up on here and came across the video. pretty much looks new....crazy someone would just throw it away....works fine.
Hi I would love your opinion about the Behringer PK 115 Passive speakers I use QSC and they’re great speakers but they’re so heavy I was looking into a lighter speaker I’m just wondering if the sound qualities will be OK and if they can cut it for outdoor shows I use the Behringer 2000 PA system and love it. I’ve been playing a lot of breweries lately and they want it pretty loud i’d love to hear what you have to say thanks buddy👍🎼🎶☘️
...you should do research not to misinform your followers. Yes, 2000 watts, in Bridge mode...one side only, this is PEAK wattage, NOT RMS, which is running it without overheating it. 1,000 in stereo, again, Peak wattage. @@subodhgodbole7266Impedance in parallel ( positive to positive, neg to neg ) your ohms go down meaning your amp works harder. You amp in spec will have it's minimal Impedance marked at spkr jack input, or look at spec. 3 eight ohm speakers in parallel brings you down to 2 ohms. Not to many amps are two ohm stable. You also have unaccounted Impedance in you line hookups and amp internal Impedance, so in actuality it will be under 2 ohms.
@@subodhgodbole7266 In accord to your amp spec, I suggest only two 8ohm speakers each side, and keep unity gain on your mixer. That or you need to add another power amp...if your using a passive system. Good luck, and always be aware of your amp(s) capability and spec. Only run three 8 ohm cabs if amp is 2 ohm stable. Hi!! Thank you so much for the amazing videos! I have the same pmp2000D and it lowers its sound when I sing high, I mean, when the mic input receives a high volume signal. It happens rather I use the Pad button on or off. The music volume lowers a lot, and if i stop singing, it raises again. And does it with different microphones I tried. Do you have any suggestion for resolving this? The Master volume is usually within 3 or 5 and it's a brand new equipment. Thank you so much again!!!
That usually happens when I'm singing and the level peaked to red. It basically protects the tracks. I usually have the main volume on 0, and the vocals on the 1st track at about 3 to 3.5.
@@JasonsAcousticWorkshopWhen you say main volume, which one are you referring to? Because if it is the Main (the master) there won't be any sound at all. I am sorry if didn't get the idea. Thank you once again for taking this time to answer!
That particular mixer doesn't have Pre-amp output (or Auxiliary out), it only has an auxiliary in. The only thing the auxiliary in would be good for would be to just to connect an 1/8'" wire to play music through. This is something that Behringer need to put on their mixers in the future. They should take off that Behringer wireless mic input and put an Auxiliary out right there. Plus put a line in and line out (the red and white wires) to play sound through. Sorry, but the only way you would be able to record would be to place mics around your speakers.
The earlier Behringer mixers like the Europower PMP 2000 have preamp outputs for powered monitors or recording but, for some reason got rid of them, I think that was a big mistake on their part. Every Musician that I talk to have never used a Behringer mic, so, as far as I'm concerned, that in mic input is completely useless, so is the Auxiliary in. Bring back the preamp outputs and line ins

In your aux send/return, you can assign a channel for processing, in which is used throughout the board.
