It's either people who have no idea how to courier, and just leave your packaging....somewhere...or they come with it busted up. It's ludicrous. Amazon shipping is the fucking worst. Zero protection in an envelope is not how you ship expensive comics and hardcovers. Their shipping used to be a lot better. I also got The Twelve from Ollie's. It is my favorite thing JMS did at Marvel. Awesome that you found Camelot 3000 at Ollie's. I would've loved to have gotten that. Chris Weston that did The Twelve, his art reminds me a lot of Brian Bolland's with the details and way he inks. And you and I discussed Super Sons a little at the con. It is such a great all ages comic.
They are so hit and miss. And living in KY you know we have some of the worst distribution centers when it comes to getting protection on your packages. :/

I absolutely loved Supreme Power (though Marvel kind of ruined it by taking all the R-rated stuff out and relaunching it as Squadron Supreme) and it really sucked to never have a proper ending to that story. I believe he did the same thing on his Superman and Wonder Woman runs at DC though I wasn't a big fan of either of those. I honestly never thought he would finish The Twelve, so even though it was like almost two years or something, I was glad that he finished those last 2 or 3 issues and that it was actually a pretty good ending. Would like to hear what you thought of it when you finish reading it all. Oh, and when I bought that copy of the Usagi Yojimbo that I showed you'd I"d gotten at the con on Saturday, the guy I bought it from (who I assume is the same one you got that Guardians of the Galaxy from for 12 dollars) asked me if I had that giant Usagi Yojimbo book and pointed out that he had it. I told him I didn't bring enough money to the con to get that sadly, but it looked freaking amazing. I love those giant hardcovers, like Behold Galactus.
Good Haul. I picked up the Bone vol 6-9 (for my son to finish up the series as he didn't want to read floppies), Aquaman GJ omnibus, Dragon ball Super 4, MMW X-men vol. 11 (which should arrive tomorrow), Flash rebirth vol. 3 and the Brave and the Bold trades 1 & 2, as volume 2 goes to 109. But I realized today that the Omnibus vol. 1 also goes to 109 (not 106 as it states on the cover) so I'm going to return them and get the omnibus. That's crappy about the damaged TMNT. The worst I had was the flash and Bone books were sent to my city then shipped all the was to the West coast in BC! So they were a week late. But I did get my money back on them for the sanfu.
I almost wish I was getting the X-men MWWs so I could hurry along having those wonderful books on my shelf. Yeah this is the worst book I've gotten in the mail.
OMG !!! Universal War One!!! As a native french speaker i am very familiar with this comic. It was first published in France roughly 20 years ago ( can't remember) where it gained a cult following (and also to a lesser extent in Montreal where i am from). So much that Denis Barjam started Universal War Two 4-5 years ago. I didn't know it had been translated into English until i saw your video. This is such a good surprise. Just like i was surprised at Castle in the stars being translated into english and Omnidog really digging it. It's great to see more and more french comics (other than Moebius or Jodorowski) being made available for english speaking audiences. I grew up reading this stuff!!! I cannot guarantee you will enjoy it, but i am curious to hear your opinion about it. Please review it when you have time, even if you hate it.
Love these summaries! I had thought you already picked up the OHC Wolverine Origin Complete Collection that came out a couple years ago? That one contained both origin stories in one oversized HC. I had to go to my shelf to see if what you presented is already in that edition. Also, I'll have to give you my opinion in the near future on that Marvel Conan Omnibus of what I found comparing a variety of panels from my DH TP's digital recoloring and the original coloring in this Omnibus. At a high-level glance there is some hit-and-miss on both sides as far as which is better. In the Marvel Omnibus I've noticed the skin tone of Conan seems to change over the issues. By the time Buscema took over he had more of a consistent pinkish hue.
I didn't pick that OHC up, but I do have the original Origins collected in the latest Wolverine Epic. I've always noticed that pinkish tone looking at some of the art. I was comparing panels too. :)
From what I've read about that first Conan Omnibus and its coloring, Marvel kind of screwed the pooch by not using the colors that Barry Windsor-Smith had done for the previous reprint editions so that his entire Conan run would have his colors like his latter issues did. That's kind of a shame. I still want that Conan Omnibus though and will likely order myself a copy for my birthday in March. :D
I read that article from Bleeding Cool explaining the BWS colors...which as a fan of his art, I would have loved. But then I guess they put themselves in a corner with the purist that want the original colors. I say this omni sells good enough, it might warrant them to release some kind of BWS Special edition.
So is what I'm seeing as far as colors in this new Omnibus the original colors I would have seen from the original comics of the early 70s as they were coming out or were they also touched up like all the modifications that were done with all the DH trades?

From a great haul to an amazing haul with that Crisis on infinite earths/Wolfman signature comic. I love Wolfmans work. I've had a pretty decent January haul (totally ignoring my resolution to reign my spending in on comic stuff). Managed to pick up the six set of Starman omnis, the BPRD hell on earth Vol 4, the three new teen titans omnis, the Flash (John's) omni vol1, Conan Vol 1 omni (dark horse tpb), Sleeper omni, batman second chances tpb, hickman avengers Vol 1 omni, Gotham central omni and finally absolute new frontier. I dare'nt even start thinking of what I'm going to buy in February (my shopping basket already contains the chuck dixons nightwing run and the new 52 nightwing run). I'd love to get something signed by Wolfman though.

I've never had one broken like that but I got the Miles Morales Omnibus broken on the side, and I'm whatever when they're paperbacks because those tend not to get damaged (in my experience) but a $30+ book is just infuriating. I read She Hulk by Charles Soule which would have been in this haul. He is a lawyer by profession writing comic books. It was an interesting experience reading these 12 issues where Jen Walters is also a courtroom defense lawyer in the story. Now I do have things to say but if someone did a video on it, not sure if anyone has read it.

Have you read Sam Humphries's Star-Lord stuff? It's really good, made me love Kitty in space. Even the not so great Black Vortex was almost worth it for the relationship stuff.

Yo, the manga is 10x better than the anime for Tokyo Ghoul. It's one of my favorite series. My haul 1-23 of Magi(I said I was gonna focus on collecting this and the timing was perfect since my job gave its employees bonuses for a good inventory)
Yep, I plan on finishing collecting Magi by April since its last volume comes out then if I remember correctly. Then it's onto Toriko and JoJo. Yeah, as fan of the series the anime honestly didn't do the series justice. Music was good though.

I swear every month you do a haul video there is something I want. The Tokyo Ghoul collection looks great but I'm not ready to drop $120 CAD down from $200 CAD especially now that Chapters/Indigo announced they use a courier to deliver to homes and will drop stuff at my door instead of a secure mailbox. I only got Supersons, the second Transformers phase 2 HC(this looks great and I can't wait to read it all), and Bloodshot Salvation tpb 3. I want to power through Supersons for Saturday's Fangirlz Assemble chat. But I'm almost through vol 2. of Seven Soldiers. Then want to read Dial H by China Meiville. Lemire's Bloodshot stuff for Valiant has been fantastic. I'm sad that more people haven't given it a shot because they feel they need all the past Valiant stuff to know what's going on. I have a rudimentary understanding of Valiant and Bloodshot is my only book I read and enjoy from Valiant. Yeah I cherry pick stories and don't feel bound by past continuity...lol. The Conan stuff looks good but it's another book I'm not sure I want to dive into with so much material that is currently out there.

I got my copy of TMNT from Amazon too in the exact same condition. Why they are even sending these to customers is beyond me. Do they think we won't notice the cover falling off?
Mine was actually in a box cause it was with a couple other hardcovers. The shipping box and other books were fine, but TMNT was destroyed, which means it was pulled at Amazon fulfilment by an employee in that condition. Since yours was busted almost exactly like mine, that tells me they got a bad batch of them. Someone dropped a crate of them off the forklift or something. Got a replacement immediately though too, but still frustrating.

I wanted to search if there was a SuperSons omnibus and your channel is what popped up(obviously not surprised). The HCs leave out some of the DC One Million stories and the Softcovers were missing some of the stories that were collected in the HCs. It's nothing too much to complain about, but I'm hoping that one damn day we get an omnibus with everything!

I stopped ordering from Amazon a long time ago. Too many packaging snafus. Now I just use their third party sellers that have a good track record.

The HCs leave out some of the DC One Million stories and the Softcovers were missing some of the stories that were collected in the HCs. It's nothing too much to complain about, but I'm hoping that one damn day we get an omnibus with everything!
@@NearMintCondition Hell yeah! But its highly doubtable, as you can see Kyle Rayner vol 3 cancelled, a lot of good old collections are stopped at Vol 2 too (cancelled or never even planned to finish), its a huge gamble for DC!
