I knew this in my head, but desperately needed to see it done. I’m about to add cold shoulder lace sleeves to my daughter’s wedding dress. This video helped so much. Thanks. ❤
Hi guys - first I want to just say that if I have any subscribers in California, I hope you’re all okay. My prayers are with the state, the firefighters, and everyone effected by these terrible events. Secondly, and much less importantly, I hope the video uploaded okay quality wise. I’ve been having some technical issues and internet issues, but I still wanted to get the tutorial up! Thirdly, thank you all for the lovely entries to my giveaway! I'll be picking a winner sometime this week and I'll announce it when I do!
I'm in California, but thankfully about 1 1/2 away from the fires. The winds where I live are relentless, gusts up to 70 MPH. Our HMO sent out the robo call that my family shouldn't go outdoors because we are all asthmatic. Praying for all who are affected. I want you to know that my husband Joe and I are still sewing and we tell everyone you are our teacher. I like the off the shoulder stuff and 1/2 circle skater skirts. I put them together to make dresses and I learned to put a pocket in the skirt. My closet is filled with off the shoulder tops in every pattern and color. lol Thanks for all the hard work you put into these videos Hun. You are the best.
Absolutely the best tutorial I’ve watched...easy to follow with clear instructions! Thank you so much 😊 for keeping it simple, it has encouraged me rather than putting me off from attempting a cold shoulder top! Subscribed and look forward to watching more x Kara from Scotland x
Aw thank you so much, Kara! That means so much to me 😊 I hope you have fun making your top! Thank you so much for watching from Scotland and subscribing to my channel. I’m so happy to have you join this fun sewing community we have on here! Happy sewing!
Here's an idea for a video for next month. Handmade Christmas gifts! So for example, Baby: cuddle blanket, teddy bear, knot bunny, etc. Girl: Barbie clothes, doll diaper, hair bows, etc. Boy: hot wheels racetrack, stuffed sword (felt), car carrier, etc. Ladies: jewelry organizer, wallet, etc. Men: wallet, etc.
I need to start early on Christmas gift videos next year! Those are such great ideas :) I had good intentions with doing tutorials for gift ideas and just ran out of time lol!
Another easy to follow video! Why do you leave the rolled hemming of upper arm and neck for last? I would have thought it would have been easier to do (lol at least for me)in beginning before adding the sleeves. But I am newbie sewer so not sure! Thanks again for point out all the little details - needle, stitch, tension etc. So helpful.
Thank you, so happy it was easy for you to follow!! That’s a great question! I always do that last because I tend to be super indecisive when I’m sewing, so I like to try everything on to see if I’m happy with the neckline and sleeve length first before gemming them, but you can definitely hem the neckline and sleeve too before they’re actually attached if that’s easiest for you 😃 That would totally work! I just change my mind too much during projects 😂 Thanks for watching!!!
