I think this is Logic’s most mature album. He struggled with what he wanted it to sound like for years and now he exactly knew what he wanted on it. It had a little bit of everything. It was the perfect Logic album!
If I had a nickel for every time a song in 2024 sampled Lemonade by Gucci Mane, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice right?
on the song in retrospect It’s not what Logic wanted to say. Logic directly addresses Joe Budden here because the two have had a lot of beef in the past, mostly from Joe Budden’s side. Joe Budden has consistently portrayed Logic in a negative light. In many interviews and in his biography, Joe Budden has mentioned that his trauma is connected to violence in his childhood and abuse, which is why Logic references this.

Definitely my favorite Logic album since his "Retirement" I think it's pretty great tbh, Probably 4th in his catalog behind No Pressure, The Incredible True Story & Under Pressure are still his best albums IMO, I'm just glad to see Logic put out a high quality album again.
I've listened to ghost in the machine more times than I can count and watched a plethora of reactions, and I just now realized that every production sound effect during his verse is indeed censoring profanity/cursing. someone on twitter did say the only way he could get the sample cleared from the original artist was by not using any profanity on the track!
Logic has definitely made a lot of references to being biracial since around 2019, but Peace, Love, & Positivity was significant to me because from what I remember he’s never used the n-word in his music before, & this is really the first time I remember him exploring why that was the case - he was afraid. It’s not the deepest song ever, but it’s nice to get a nugget like that over this type of production, & I think that kind of subtle increase in depth across the runtime is part of what makes this his best album for me.
Best album since no pressure, but no pressure is a better album, I'd personally put this drop below Under pressure No pressure and maybe even vinyl days? So I guess this is my 4th favourite album from him, not bad when he's got so much content out there. I'm sitting with a 7.5/10 No pressure being a 9.5 Under Pressure being a 9.5 Vinyl days being an 8
For me if we're ranking Logic albums: 1. Under Pressure 9.5/10 2. The Incredible True Story 9/10 3. No Pressure 8.5/10 4. Ultra 85 8/10 5. Vinyl Days 7.5/10 6. College Park 6.5/10 7. Everybody 6.5/10 8. YSIV 6/10 9. COADM 4/10 If we're ranking his mixtapes: 1. Welcome To Forever 9.5/10 2. Undeniable 9/10 3. YS1 8.5/10 4. BT2 8/10 5. BT1 7.5/10 6. YB&I 7/10 7. BT3 4/10 I know Supermarket is a soundtrack, NGL I haven't heard it enough to rank, And there's a couple mixtapes he's dropped since his retirement that I have yet to listen to.
@@doomdeadshot1179 Undeniable is peak logic for sure, I def think the highs of that mixtape are top of his catalog, I still think Dead Presidents 3 is to this day his best track. And Vinyl Days over No Pressure? Idk about that I'll have to give it a relisten cause it's been awhile since I heard it.
@@butterschunkmcdonalds5333 yea agree DP3 is beyond insane lupe would be proud with that song. And yea vinyl days just had some fire ass songs tbh. No pressure was great but vinyl days was so effortless you know straight bars great production
Thinking back on every logic album, I feel like all of them was bangers. Like, theres probably 1 or 2 songs within some of the albums that are hit or misses, but other than that, I think all the albums are fantastic.
Its not that bad actually. There's a few skipables but for the most part, its probably the best since TITS in my opinion. Teleport is fucking bop. Also, you gotta check out Deathproof. It's up there as one of my favorite Tarentino movies. Defiinitely slept on.
I think what I like about this one so much is it's kind of like what a raw thoughts is kind of like what Chris Webby does it's just stuff that's on his mind that he gets off his chest when he puts it on wax
He uses it for punchlines throughout, but the he does actually go into more depth in Peace, Love, & Positivity, where he talks about why he didn't want to say the N-word in his music. DJ Drama also talks about it a little bit in the intro to Dejavu, which makes sense given his background (didn't know this before but he is also biracial).
For me it's no more than just letting people know hey look this is all the stuff that I've been through people can make it it's kind of like a therapy thing letting them know they're not alone in their thoughts that he had those too but he had to do something about it 21:12
Truthfully it's probably something that's just not as fulfilling as what he's expecting that he's making music videos and he's making something that's good to him but it's not something that he's just excited about seems like he isn't like he doesn't love the music as much anymore.
It's kind of inspirational too though because it's saying look you're hating on me because I made it but this is what I've been through so don't be mad you can do it too and just get off your ass and do something with it.
There are definitely a lot of songs I like on this album but I’m definitely surprised at how well it’s been received. To me, it’s really bogged down by the repetitive verses and familiar subject matter. I’ve heard Logic rap about the shit he rapped about on this album like 100 times already. One of the reasons No Pressure worked so well for me is because it felt like a mature perspective shift and his verses actually felt fresh. It’s also by far, the most technically advanced album he’s ever dropped as far as the punchlines and rapping goes. Ultra 85 is very rappity but the punchlines aren’t really there, he’s mainly just talking about the same subject matter he always talks about. I really want a Logic album where he steps out of his comfort zone and approaches the writing with nuance cuz this definitely isn’t that.
One of the things that I feel is holding his writing back is his "Peace Love And Positivity" thing. Every line where he's flexing his wealth or talking tough is followed by lines of him explaining that he's actually a nice guy. This part of his writing became really annoying once I noticed it and just wish he would start saying it with his chest.
@@Lucy-cv7tmyeah his PLP persona is definitely more of a “I say it” than a “I live it” kinda thing. Kinda wish he would just drop it, it doesn’t really mean anything at this point.

I think no offense to CDTV but he’s kind of being incredibly critical but not with reason like a 7 is too low for this and the Peggy album but it just seems like he wants to seem more critical than he really feels but idk like fantano as much people don’t like him he will stand by his opinions no matter what
Basically no skips on either album solid production and rapping and stylistic creativity they are both easily 9s and the best albums to come out this year

Logic could've released this project 5 years ago and it still wouldn't be very innovative. Early 2000s vibes, appealing to old heads but boring af for modern rap
