Oh wow well done they both came out so beautiful! This video was exactly what I was looking for to make lamps from ceramic & stone vases! I’m sure the diamond drill will be ok to use on stone/clay? Will have to double check it out! Thank you so much.
@@monika.mitchell Oh, no, I mean when you were putting the drill bit in the drill. When you were in the garage. You slid it out and back in. Didn’t look like the bit was tightened. But maybe that was taken care of off camera or something. I just saw that part and you were saying while you were first drilling that it was wobbly trying to drill it in. So I just thought maybe the bit wasn’t tightened. 🙃
@@AdrienneS1970 oh yes! I know what you mean. I was having such a hard time tightening that 😂 I thought you meant something on the lamp was loose, but the drill bit was definitely loose haha.
@@monika.mitchell Yeah, it took me a while how to figure out how to tighten mine…. had to figure it out on my own since I had no one to show me. But the lamp looks great! Awesome job!
Great job. I’ve been wanting to try this. I would add a harp assembly also to make the shade more secure. Plus, finials look lovely on a lamp

Enjoyed watching your DIY😊
Great job! They came out so good! I want to see you do more DIY here!
Thank you!! I’m happy with how they turned out too 💛 I actually have the wicker one set up in my kitchen now. I’ll try to do more DIY’s in the future!
Perfect timing, I was literally searching for YT videos on this very project the other day!
Your comment made me so happy! Thank you and I hope that you’re able to make your own lamp now too!!
Thank you for this video it was super helpful

Nice job! I think I'm going to try it😊
You definitely should!
It's very satisfying to say, "I did this". 🙃
It really is!! Proud of myself 🙌🏼
Where did you buy your lamp kit, please?
👏👏👏👏
Good job! Where's the vase cap from?
Thank you so much! I got mine off of eBay! Link in the description box.
thank you
Of course! Hope it was helpful!
Can you share the lamp shade type you used? 😊 thanks
Hi! I got the threshold small linen lamp shade from target!
If you can pull the drill bit in and out that easily then it needs to be tightened so it doesn’t wobble around…. or fall out 😊
Hey! Which part are you referring to? Nothing is wobbly right now, but if I can tighten something then that would be good to know!

HI ! What size was the diamond drill bit you used here?
Hi! I used the 10mm, but honestly would go down in size so the hole is a little closer around the cord (just for purely aesthetic reasons lol).
Thx !!
Better if you put it on pillow instead of scratching it on concrete
U probably need to push harder with the drill amd maybe get a more powerful drill
I didn’t want to risk cracking the vase! It got the job done in the end 😊
@monika.mitchell oh ik u did great
Thank you!!
