7 years later, what are you shooting with? I just got the Canon C300 Mark III. Learning that camera now.

Great video....I have this same set up but with the new Canon 18-80 compact cinema zoom. Love my C300 MK II!

what about the AF system? they all say it's one of the main features of this camera and you didn't even mention it. Is it really usable in a pro environment?

@Musica ad orecchio great insight well spotted question, I hope they will come back on this in their next session. Overall this has been an educative session I love it, holding my introductory board with C300.

Very interesting and a real eye-opener to the differences of still vs. video. Thanks for the insight.

Great vid but it's so weird hearing Serge say "ISO" the correct way and the cinematographer follow it by saying it "I-S-O" which is wrong. I see lots of photographers make this mistake as well. Seems to be a common thing.

LoL @ "I had one" slow motion shot.... Well, maybe if you had a more capable camera on your limited budget, you'd have had more slow motion shots.... While I agree theres something missing from the colors of Sony sensors.. you can't knock their slow mo and high res slow mo capabilities for the price. You can promo a product while still being honest. Obviously disingenuous.

Why is it funny that he didn't use slow motion? Game of Thrones has a multimillion dollar budget and has 1 slow motion shot in 5 seasons (50 hours approx of media)

+UnratedAwesomeness because it's laughably disingenuous. At one point he says Sony cameras are noisy at high frame rates, then he goes on to say how beautiful some other films looked despite their noise. Obviously there are trade offs all different types of effects in filmmaking. And I'm sure even on GOT, cinematographers would prefer to have the option of slow-mo rather than not. So LOL.

+Croo ookie Hey dude, sorry that it came off disingenuous. Even if I had a Phantom Flex at my disposal for this film, I just wouldn't have needed it in the visual language of the film. But you have a valid point, I guess what I was really trying to say is that if you do a lot of slow motion, this camera isn't for you, but if slo-mo isn't your bread and butter and you want the best image and camera package for the price, seriously consider this camera. Everyone wants the most options possible in their cameras and we aren't going to be happy until we have the holy grail of cameras, which I think in three more years we'll have. Have a good day sir. Best, Dare
