Nice perspective from a Dji user. I picked one up for $399, but am still waiting on delivery. The only fair comparison is with mavic mini based on cost. I went with zino because of wind resistance. Many folks complaining about lens reflections when flying into sun. Many trying filters to rectify, but I think a short lens hood really would better attack root cause. I’m sure they will be available from 3rd parties. Thanks for the honest first impression review.

I've owned a couple Hubsan quads before.. Both crashed terminally due to freekin' stock hubsan batteries. This one looks interesting but I just can't trust Hubsan :( Their quality control is 2nd to none... oops I meant just NONE lol. Take the "Gryo" for instance lol. Different shades of white etc lol. I hope you have good luck with it !!
Great maiden flight. It flew well from what I can see in the video. I have a Zino 1 and its a fantastic drone. However, you have to be aware of the firmware updates on these things, they tend to create issues in some of them, especially with the Zino 2 which forces you to update without an option to deny it if you wanted to. But yours looks solid and performed really well in the cold weather which is very impressive. Thanks for making this video and sharing your experience with us. 👍🏻

I'm impressed with this drone. All around in that weather, it flew awesomely I have seen drone videos that are jerky and terrible this was smooth a few hiccups but with the col,d it performed well. I'm playing around with the purchase button, this video brought be closer. Thanks, for a very honest video.

It certainly looks like a good quality drone, very pro quality.I was going to get one but opted for the SG906 beast pro 3 instead. The Beast is a good drone, only complaint and it's common is the app can drop out. The Zino plus looks appealing, as you guys know Drone collections tend to grow exponentially, so I certainly would consider this as my next drone.I like it because it's big and has many positive features.
Dude, the drone is holding the position as good as you were in calibration of compass. You turned around instead of turning the drone, that makes a great difference. My hubsan zino 1 hovers like glued into the sky and not a worse technology is used in zino 2. Another problem can be a 2 low wlan signal from your mobile. I had a htc with aluminium cover, my zino circled in the air. Then I changed to another mobile with better wlan signal and actual android and then it worked very very well.
@@DailyDroning Its not a thing of flighttime, its a thing of how to calibrate the drone.
@@DailyDroning Sorry, I did not read that part about it behaves like this also when calibrated the right way. I saw a video some hours ago from a Zino 2 after a firmware update keeping position very well in strong coast wind. Possibly this update solves the problem.

you can actually tug those cables in between the remote and the phone, hubsan even made some small hooks to keep the cable in place. read the manual 3:38

Would you know how this compares to the Mavic Pro 1? First flight and I'm ready for range tests!!! Seems like you have some lag.

Does it have any obstacle avoidance.? Definitely would love to see if it comes anywhere near the 8 km WiFi range it’s claiming.
KlooGee understood. Definitely not worth the risk. The advertised range on some of these WiFi drones usually doesn’t match the stated claims. Not sure if I’d buy another WiFi drone.
The barometer has to adjust according to its environment, especially on 1st flight. My p4pro and mavic pro 1 an 2 do that on 1st :30-1:00 min of flight.
KlooGee never said bounce. Said for the first 30 seconds or so, they will change altitude before barometer stabilizes.

I have the Hubsan Zino 2+ and it far exceeds the DJI Mavic Air 2 (in my opinion). I came from my first drone (which was the AEE AP10 Turok) to the DJI mini, and then the Hubsan Zino 2+... I have flown the mavic air 2 though. And for the price of the Zino 2+ compared to the DJI Mavic family of drones, the Zino 2+ is far less expensive, and I personally think much more superior.
Nice First look. Fyi...you can tuck the excess cord in the space between the phone and remote. It has a little hook.
Hi can you please help me ive powered up the hubsan zhino2 and the gimbal is working yeah . i turned on my controller( but only the power button is lit- no other info is on the screen) and i connected to phone with cable.i went in the app they're not showing connected. i used a needle to press and hold the fuselage binding key . all 4 lights of the drone are currently blinking. where is the refresh button in the app? to refresh the aircraft list and then to select aircraft. i got a message saying usb cable isnt connected. it does say phone is connected to the phone and the usb line is connected to the remote control. please help . i just have a drone with 4 blinking lights and dont know how to connect drone and controller thank you kevin bursey
The battery is NOT an issue if it's not in properly you will get a warning in the app and it won't let you fly.
However the camera is a problem, the lens has a geometry problem that will give you bad internal flares from the ken's that ruin your shots when flying towards the sun.
@@DailyDroning It's clear from your video and reply you want to say that it's bad just because it not DJI and that is sad. The Zino 2does have a flaw but it's not any of the things you are trying to be pick about and that's it's camera. If you want to be negative try pointing it towards the sun on a day without heavy cloud cover. You will see large light flares ruining your shots because the lens geometry is bad and light reflects from the inside of the lens. That is just about its only flaw apart from that as long as you do your calibrations and don't expect it to perform at its best in extreme weather conditions it is a great quad.

DJI spark was such a disappointment for me. The battery didn't last long and range sucks. I waited so long to get a drone. I pre-order Zino mini pro this time.

The gimbal problem was probably from the cold weather.
I got one and sorry to say, I had nothing but problems with it and all most no support. I crashed the secount day I flu it. The battery was bad it show up like it full and dropped to zero in seconds. It dropped out o the ski like a rock. I'm still trying to return the battery now. The next time after repairing it it lost signal an did notetrn to home it dropped out the ski angin. I trying to find out why the rear A motor dose not work. This a new drone!!$@#

The lens flair is an issue on the drone and the lens quality isn't that great, I want Hubsan to know so they can fix the issue somehow by sending their customers a better lense, and replacing the lens on the upcoming shipment drones :(

Hi KlooGee quick question, I am considering cancelling my Hubsan Zino 2 order after what I heard, but idk yet. It doesn't seem like what I expected, and what we expected as an audience? Do you have advice or anything else to say regarding cancellation? Do you think I should wait and why? I was looking into getting the Parrot anafi instead because it's even more feature packed and in a lot of ways better!

Love the price for the drone but the return policy from Hubsan is anti-consumer. 7 day return on unused product. you open it, NO RETURNS. Please advise buyers about this because a 500 investment is not cheap.
Get those antennas set at a 45 on your controller!

That is s problem with the husban zino 2 they gave gimble trouble along with others wright out of the box
DO NOT UPGRADE TO 1.13!!! On the controller (a forced update), I flew my drone around for a couple of laps, when it suddenly "disconnected" and never RTH
Just do manual calibration.. rotate 360°

I've tried being optimistic but my Zino is junk. It toilet bowls and the control lag and stability is terrible.

TOTALLY USELESS RESPONSE I GOT FROM HUBSAN: "From the record the crash
is due to the abnormality of the power. However, our engineer say there
are already several crash records on the flight log, and the aircraft
may have broken down before. Have a nice day." I don't know about you,
but I find this totally unacceptable! DJI here I come. I had absolutely
no control over this when it crashed, it had been flying just over three
minutes with a fully charged battery, they cannot possibly say I caused
this. 500 quid down the drain! NEVER AGAIN HUBSAN, WILL YOU STEAL MY
MONEY!!!

Excellent first look at the Zino 2, especially as you're not familiar with Hubsan products. I'm on my third Hubsan quad (501ss, Zino and now Zino Pro). The Zino's don't feature all the DJI bells and whistles, but are great value for money for anyone looking for a budget 4k aerial video platform. Looking forward to your exploration of the various functions, and nice to see a new location. Thanks for sharing from another UK viewer.
How would you rate the Camera compared to DJI mavic mini or pro 2? Also can you do comparison tests?

Hubsan Zino original owner here. My experience is that Hubsan rushes innovative designs to their customers and then it takes 4 to 6 firmware updates based on monitoring of customers usage of production models in the field before the entire product is finalized. I found it a hilarious R&D scheme (once I stopped taking myself seriously) that turns their buyers into test pilots for the first few months
@@DailyDroning It took about 4 months before the first Zino could overcome ground effects, the so-called "Hubsan bounce" everyone talks about. Another comment mentioned the barometer taking timed status updates during warm-up. Also, don't expect the camera to be fully functional before a few firmware updates either. Feeling is that Z2 will exceed expectations (particularly for the price) in the long run but like the original Zino it will suffer from poor reviews during the period that first production run is being "tested" in the field
Got my zino 2 Friday he 13th. Had to do the updates and that worked very smoothly. I was surprised that it went so well. The horizon was almost perfect so I didn't try to adjust it. I made a video in 1080 and wasn't impressed with the range. Had to really get it high to get a mile distance. Lost signal a few times, really no better than my old dji phantom 4. The video on my tablet screen didn't look good and clear. As I flew further away the video on my screen went very blurry at times. Same when I used my phone. Also when I played back the memory card the video looked just like what I saw on my tablet screen. Didn't expect that because on my phantom 4 when I am almost out of range the video on the card still looks good. It appeared like I was recording to the card exactly what my tablet was seeing. Some parts good and some bad as the range was extended.
i just buy dij mini last month and get to know some weakness when i am flying. compare the zino2, the mini transitmission distance is below 1km in the city central,which is very poor in wifi transitmission technology. i think the zino2 is better than mini in transitmission technology.secondly, the weight of mini is only 249g and easily to lost control in the strong wind. thirdly , the function to make video is very poor which is no tracking and time lapse photography functions.of coz mini also had a lot of advantages.such as no need register in many countries ,portable etc. therefore,i will buy zino2 for next drone.
Just watched a video with this drone doing over 4967 meters in a range test. Clear visual connection on the screen about 85% of the time. Returned with 26% battery left. Pretty impressive imo.
And still no Skydio update ..... :( 26:40 This should be option on every drone Halooo DJI Mavic mini needs this!
You hold the phone in the other hand while calibrating the compass. Any electronic devices nearby may affect calibration.
I am planning to upgrade from zino zino 2 in little time, but I'll wait how to see Hubsan software people manage this drone for a while, so do their customer support
Might help if you had the antennaes at the recommended 45 degree angle, towards youllllllllllll

@@caljoyTV it is I canceled before but I wonder if anyone's working because of the virus. I order Jan 15 they shipped feb 13 I haven't received mine yet I think the outbreak has it held up. I put in a ticket to ask where's my drone and got no answer and they usually hit back fast.

@@DailyDroning I use to live in Fairfield. Have you ever flown the Little Miami River? The Jeremiah Morrow Bridge? There is a bike path beneath and you can get some great shot there. One of my favorites.
The props in the video in normal mode would be a deal-breaker for me. My second drone ever was a Hubsan H501s. It was a good value for the money, but it was one of the first ones and they had a lot of bugs. Thanks for the nice video!
Good review, the ZINO2 really is fast in sport mode, you’ll be at 1/3 mile in about 7-19 seconds. Close to 50mph. It is a strong flyer with a questionable camera
