This watch is without the screwed crown still 200m WR. Because the watch is fitted with a special double gasket system. This system is also used in all current B42 based watches. Even the marinemaster. The marinemaster chrono pushers can be used under water. So screw down crown is history for these watches. Swim safely😉
I'm a flight test engineer. None of my flight watches have screw down crowns and I wouldn't want one. It gets in the way and it isn't needed on a non-dive watch. I want to pick up a watch for the day, wind it, set it, and go. My diver has a screw down crown of course, but is is also cheap enough to be disposable. I think Fortis got this one right.
Had a Fortis Flieger since 2001 Fortis has been in space for more time than all other watches including Omega combined . Also Fortis was the first watch to use an automatic movement . I have IWC Omegas Zenith but my Fortis is still one of my favorite watches.
Fortis definitely doesn't get enough attention. There are so many great brands out there. Thank you for covering them and not just rolex and seiko like so many other channels.

I feel some sort of envy, by the fact you say I would be banned and by the fact you know tgv origin very well, that being said I never said I like tgv, actually I don’t, but hey, I see what I see, your style is very similar
you don't need a screw-down crown to increase the water resistance. You only need it so the crown is not manipulated/pulled out when diving.
Putting a screw-down crown on a pilot or flieger watch would be nonsense.
I own a Fortis Cosmonaut Chronograph with 200m water resistance. No screw-down crown either on that watch.
If there would have been a requirement to have a screw-down crown, be sure that Fortis would have put it there.

I have the Fortis B42 Cosmonaut but I have trouble finding straps to for the style of screw and bar system they use. Can you pass on the links to your straps for this watch? The lugs are the same for both our watches.
good watch but that rubber strap cheapen watch if you ask me.put some nice leather strap and it will be business.

Looove my fortis B-42 marinemaster chronograph. Punches way above its weight. My favorite tool watch. Like it better then my breitling avenger seawolf.

@@edcwatches I've never owned a Hamilton wristwatch, but I do have my Great Grandfather's gold Hamilton pocket watch given to him at his retirement, I am guessing it must be close to 100 years old. It's really beautiful, in excellent running condition, with a nicely decorated movement, made in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
I do sympathize with your comments about how hard the Hamilton is to photograph, though. It REALLY needs anti reflective coating on the crystal. I just bought a cool Poljot Chronograph that has a black dial, chrome hands, and a domed crystal with no AR coating, and it is nearly impossible to take a decent photo of it because of the glare

Music waaaay too loud compared to the voice (at 01:06). Please try to get a better balance. You talk softly then the music comes in at like 100db. Shitty hip-hop beats don't make you and gangster.
