Watched this movie last night for the first time since my husband passed on May 1, 2020. We both loved this movie. I think he was probably here with me watching it together.
This movie has made such a big impact on me, I cried for good 30 minutes at the end. How I wish people accept the love they receive and the love the deserve. Love constructs, love destructs and this movie is a classic example.

My mom passed away June 2020. One day before the 30 years living with my dad, married for 28 and 3 days before my father's birthday. I'm broken and I feel sooooo bad for my dad too .... My girlfriend put this movie on, I fell asleep instantly. I woke up during the skinny dipping part, my girlfriend was already asleep. I finished the movie then rewatched the whole thing again. It was that good. I could relate to the movie so much and it felt so real. No spoilers here but this movie made me reflect on my past and evaluate my future. For a good half hour I watched my gf sleep and I kept telling myself how lucky I was to have her and that everyday is a blessing. Couple weeks ago she broke up with me, on everything I hold sacred I swear I still feel the same way about her as the time I was watching her sleep. Somewhere down the road though we lost our way. If this movie taught me anything it was that life is a one way trip full of turns and detours. It should not be taken for granted. I am still a believer of us and will always be.
I want to express my words to those who have never fall in love or receive it. One day, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, maybe not in this life, but some day I will receive love, receive it without my effort, but by someone who will love me for who I am. The ending of this movie is so sad and touching that makes you realize how important is to enjoy the people you love before it's too late. Everyday we take for granted so many things until they are gone. The movie reminds us to be greateful of the things we got, specially those that count the most. This movie reminds me of my best friend, twists and turns in so many years. Unfortunately, timing or place was never right, (perhaps not meant to be?) The best part was that we both told each other how we felt (at different times), so it was clear that feelings were mutual. Now we are still best friends and accepted the reality, no matter which part of the world we've lived, whoever we've lived with...I have learned that the real-life love story is not just about happy ending, is more about experiencing it. It is about the journey, not just the destination. I am very grateful for everything..🙏

I swear the last scene where Emma says "goodbye" to Dexter two times before walking away from him while the street lights, though dim, light in the background in the evening, had my heart ache so badly I used to be called a cold monster and now I am crying, like freaking sobbing beside my dog so my family won't see me and this is so beautiful. Like its first for me for any movie(i didn't cry even after watching Titanic and Notepad). It's one hell of a ride and I really like really applaud for the director producer and scriptwriters for everything they put into this movie. I read some parts of the original book and I have to say this movie is kinda little not on the same level as book but who can put the whole book into a single almost 2 hour movie. Though the book gives you so much feels even though I read only half of it, this movie gives no less feelings and emotions in my opinion. Movie gives away so much at once that you start caring so much for the characters. You want to laugh with them, cry with them, share with them, you want them to do what you would do in their situation. You want them to get together so badly. And yet, at the same time, you love their friendship so much no love story can ever compete their relationship so much. It's so poignant and heartbreaking to watch the last scenes and I am so sad and glad at the same time I watched this movie. It would have been better if I hadn't watched it though(ughhhh I am so glad I watched it!!) cause it's been more than 6 Years since I last watched it and I am unable to erase it from my mind, as you can guess from my long POV. OVERALL, ITS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Life has its own ways to seperate and join people together. I have known my partner for 30 years now, I was a 6-year-old child when his grandparents moved next to us. We only found love and affection a year ago, rather late. I am going on 40 and have two kids, he is over 50 and lived as a bachelor for many years. Sometimes I am sad that we only noticed each other so late.
This song it’s hard for me. I lost my fiancée in December he passed away. The day before he died tragically, we met in the city, and walked around to all of our favorite places just loving each other, hand and hand. He kept looking so deeply at me and I back at him. We were so madly in love. To lose him is like losing apart of myself, the pain is so raw and deep. I play this song and it takes me back to that last day. I often think, if I would have known it to be our last day, I would have done this or said this. But God gave me that gift of that last day together. This movie reminds me of my best friend, twists and turns in so many years. Unfortunately, timing or place was never right, (perhaps not meant to be?) The best part was that we both told each other how we felt (at different times), so it was clear that feelings were mutual. Now we are still best friends and accepted the reality, no matter which part of the world we've lived, whoever we've lived with...I have learned that the real-life love story is not just about happy ending, is more about experiencing it. It is about the journey, not just the destination. I am very grateful for everything..🙏

I saw this movie today... all I can say is I’m still crying. My goal in life now is to play in the piano this master piece ONE DAY for my future wife.
So sad 😢when your young it is still love . Unfortunately my parents were unforgiving about my then partner .we split with heavy heart . I did marry but that pain has never gone away . I could and never would forget him .I later many years on found out he had fallen asleep forever suddenly. I cried
so many tears on my own away from my now partner . 💔 I cannot explain my hurt . This piano piece evokes many happy memories. I am happy in my marriage but there will always be a but . 😢

I swear the last scene where Emma says "goodbye" to Dexter two times before walking away from him while the street lights, though dim, light in the background in the evening, had my heart ache so badly I used to be called a cold monster and now I am crying, like freaking sobbing beside my dog so my family won't see me and this is so beautiful.
Like its first for me for any movie(i didn't cry even after watching Titanic and Notepad). It's one hell of a ride and I really like really applaud for the director producer and scriptwriters for everything they put into this movie.
I read some parts of the original book and I have to say this movie is kinda little not on the same level as book but who can put the whole book into a single almost 2 hour movie.
Though the book gives you so much feels even though I read only half of it, this movie gives no less feelings and emotions in my opinion.
Movie gives away so much at once that you start caring so much for the characters. You want to laugh with them, cry with them, share with them, you want them to do what you would do in their situation. You want them to get together so badly.
And yet, at the same time, you love their friendship so much no love story can ever compete their relationship so much.
It's so poignant and heartbreaking to watch the last scenes and I am so sad and glad at the same time I watched this movie.
It would have been better if I hadn't watched it though(ughhhh I am so glad I watched it!!) cause it's been more than 6 Years since I last watched it and I am unable to erase it from my mind, as you can guess from my long POV.
OVERALL, ITS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Life has its own ways to seperate and join people together. I have known my partner for 30 years now, I was a 6-year-old child when his grandparents moved next to us. We only found love and affection a year ago, rather late. I am going on 40 and have two kids, he is over 50 and lived as a bachelor for many years. Sometimes I am sad that we only noticed each other so late.
This song it’s hard for me. I lost my fiancée in December he passed away. The day before he died tragically, we met in the city, and walked around to all of our favorite places just loving each other, hand and hand. He kept looking so deeply at me and I back at him. We were so madly in love. To lose him is like losing apart of myself, the pain is so raw and deep. I play this song and it takes me back to that last day. I often think, if I would have known it to be our last day, I would have done this or said this. But God gave me that gift of that last day together.
