Thank you sir. Much appreciated. After Watching this the first time it seemed it would be very hard. When a local shop quoted me $260 for the installation I was like screw it and started doing it myself. Took me around couple of hours and all set. Next project is to hook up the backup camera
Not very hard if you watch this video while you are working. Just watch, stop, and do until you have your factory stereo out. Anybody can do this. Thank you for posting
Thank you for sharing. Hoe do you fix the cage of a double din pioneer stereo to the dash? And on the stock stereo what are the two connectors on the left?
Thank you for the video. What stereo or adapter did you use to maintain the steering wheel controls? I purchased a stereo that is "steering wheel control" compatible but can't find the wires for the steering wheel controls.
hiya i want to attempt this but curious on certain wires on my stereo, its an aftermarket one, the stearing wheel functions ie where does key 1 and key 2 wires go, or is there another video for installation? thank you
Thanks! Watched this while I completed the steps. Excellent video!

Do I have to go through all those steps just to remove the top of the dashboard?
So Mazda basically attached things to the stereo until they had a car.
Engineering at its finest

Hi, the 8mm bolts are star shaped or hex?
You're kidding me, Mazda engineers design the car around the radio!!!!!!
I think I’d rather trade in my mazda5 just to upgrade my stereo.
just...wow! how long did it take?
I’m still removing it lol
Very nice!
Thats a hell of a project
Yes, on a scale of 1 to 10, I give this stereo removal a 13 on difficulty.. Takes forever!
connectedcaraudio Took about an hour from start to finish. Really easy with the video
No way....just bought a new radio for my Mazda with android and stuff... This is going to be more than a day work for me... 😩
it will be all worth it when its done though, thanks for watching

Dankeeee👍👍👍👍
I’m pretty sure there’s a more simple way to remove the dash panel to access the stereo
Sawzall

The m3 is the easiest to remove but the 5 is hardest, what gives?
1stStLversys so true. We have one of each. The 3 stereo can be out in 2 minutes.
You do not need to take out half the stuff you took apart ridiculous
