If I didn't know that his sister has a degree in English then I wouldn't know how a physicist could come with this kind of amazing title. The poetry is just stunning.
The amount of controversy there is surrounding Galileo probably never actually doing the experiment himself, and even whether we're misinterpreting what aristotles physics meant is insane.
@@AndrewDotsonvideos Yeah I have a physics friend that constantly hates on Galileo because of all the bad stuff he supposedly did or the stuff he wrongfully got credited for. It’s interesting. He reads up a lot on the history of physics and I hear a lot of things from him I’ve never heard before. Apparently there are a lot of myths about the history of science. For example I used to think that the church abused and imprisoned Galileo because of their dislike of the heliocentric model but it turns out he was put on house arrest because for a completely different reason.
I had a lump about a year ago and caught it early. I don’t even notice my implant on most days now. This is a common cancer, one that spreads from a redundant organ directly to the lymphatic system where it can prove deadly. Please check yourself on a regular basis, I remind all my male friends even if it’s awkward.
I li e your videos so much sir. ❤ They mean the world to me. I will be majoring in math and physics this fall. Please give me your blessings and best wishes. ❤😊
Andrew!! Your videos have been so inspiring and encouraging as I've fallen in love with physics over the course of my senior year in highschool, and I feel more confident than ever about my first year of undergrad. I'm going to Reed College in Portland, and I asked in one of the orientation zooms for incoming physics majors, and it turns out Professor Emeritus David Griffiths the man the myth the legend still has an office, and can even be seen around campus sometimes! I'm super excited to launch my career in physics and just wanted to say thank you for being so instrumental in my foundation of learning about all-things-physics :)
Human intuition is ducked up, if the cube shaped box had more volume, that would also mean a balloon would inflate into a cube shape. And its really strange that such a silly thing clarifies some problem of minimizing surface area/tension 👨🏻🎨👨🏻🌾
This is silly. Of course the latest scientist is right. When have you ever had a scientist come along and change a theory from something that is correct to something that is wrong? Science is always improved. It never goes backwards.
Wow come on andrew? not even smashing together balls (protons) with your synchrotron?? dont lie to me i know you have a synchrotron, you're a nuclear physicist, every nuclear physicist has at least a cyclotron!!
I can personally vouch that cancer sucks. I'm happy to hear you're (Steven Crocker) cancer free today, and I hope it stays that way for you. Cancer is, unfortunately, one of those things that can come back. Love the experiments, always great to watch one of your (Andrew Dotson) videos. Keep the ball rolling.
Fun fact about balls: If a ball is spinning, you can always find a fixed point to look at a singular point on the surface of the ball. I have applied this trick while watching ice skating programs or other types of males spinning at high speed
That’s because a point can’t have angular momentum if it’s zero distance from the axis of rotation (L=rxp). I think you’re referring to the point on the surface define by that axis of rotation.
A true physicist. Takes one experimental sample and calls it a day. This is what true generalization looks like xD
Don't worry we proved it works for n samples by letting epsilon > 0
