      @@AndrewDotsonvideos Andrew Im 13 and I have a question(not the best opener but we'll go with it), here's the question : "would the derivative of acceleration wrt theta(im trying to construct an equation for the derivative of torque, so in tuis case acceleration and theta r linked) so would the derivative of acceleration wrt theta = angular acceleration??" I'm kinda stuck pls help

      These balls didn't attract each other, so the theory of gravity was disproved.

    I've read that Galileo probably used inclined planes to test his hypothesis. Balls will roll much more slowly, making them easier to time, in his day.

      The amount of controversy there is surrounding Galileo probably never actually doing the experiment himself, and even whether we're misinterpreting what aristotles physics meant is insane.

      @@AndrewDotsonvideos Yeah I have a physics friend that constantly hates on Galileo because of all the bad stuff he supposedly did or the stuff he wrongfully got credited for. It’s interesting. He reads up a lot on the history of physics and I hear a lot of things from him I’ve never heard before. Apparently there are a lot of myths about the history of science. For example I used to think that the church abused and imprisoned Galileo because of their dislike of the heliocentric model but it turns out he was put on house arrest because for a completely different reason.

    I had a lump about a year ago and caught it early. I don’t even notice my implant on most days now. This is a common cancer, one that spreads from a redundant organ directly to the lymphatic system where it can prove deadly. Please check yourself on a regular basis, I remind all my male friends even if it’s awkward.

    Andrew!! Your videos have been so inspiring and encouraging as I've fallen in love with physics over the course of my senior year in highschool, and I feel more confident than ever about my first year of undergrad. I'm going to Reed College in Portland, and I asked in one of the orientation zooms for incoming physics majors, and it turns out Professor Emeritus David Griffiths the man the myth the legend still has an office, and can even be seen around campus sometimes! I'm super excited to launch my career in physics and just wanted to say thank you for being so instrumental in my foundation of learning about all-things-physics :)

    Human intuition is ducked up, if the cube shaped box had more volume, that would also mean a balloon would inflate into a cube shape. And its really strange that such a silly thing clarifies some problem of minimizing surface area/tension 👨🏻‍🎨👨🏻‍🌾

    Fun fact about balls: If a ball is spinning, you can always find a fixed point to look at a singular point on the surface of the ball. I have applied this trick while watching ice skating programs or other types of males spinning at high speed

      That’s because a point can’t have angular momentum if it’s zero distance from the axis of rotation (L=rxp). I think you’re referring to the point on the surface define by that axis of rotation.
