when the engine is cold everything is perfectly working. As soon as the engine gets hot, thats the start of having the issue. Especially when the weather get hot. When the engine is hot, basically from driving it, and slowing down or coming from a complete stop, when i try to accelerate, the electric motor does not respond and it waits til the engine takes over in order for you to be able to drive or move the car (about 3 seconds delay from a complete stop). So when the engine gets rest a bit, then its all goes back to normal (well not quite, electric motor responds but not too long til it switches to gas motor). Basically its all about when it gets hot (weather and the engine). Do you think its something like a sensor?

Maybe the air-con used up the battery charge during hot days. Engine need to kicking in when you try to accelerate.

Has the hybrid mechanism changed in the 2023 Kia Sportage? I would like a detailed explanation of its cooling system, and are there any fundamental problems with this system?

So a few weeks ago I got a 2018 Kia hybrid optima EX. I really do like the vehicle, wish I would have down the one with the technology pack though before I bought it. So far I haven't had any real issues with the only minor concern I had was how sluggish it is going on inclines. It honestly felt like I was driving my old 1984 Lincoln Town car uphill with this vehicle. Though I do plan on upgrading in about a year or so to better Kia I just felt this was the only shortfall that I seen so far with this one
