Serenade - Recurrence [Second Take] (Remastered)

Serenade, the predecessor to Shingetsu, existed as a band from 1975-1976, residing in Fussa, Tokyo, Japan. The band consisted of Makoto Kitayama (vocals), Akira Hanamoto (keyboards), Shizuo Suzuki (bass), Masayuki Takatsu (guitar), and Hiroyoshi Komatsu (drums). They only ever performed twice, at Ginza 3Point and Meguro Civic Hall, and they only had a handful of material. Some of the material later became Shingetsu songs, notably, The Voyage For Killing Love, Oni, and Orion!
"I was unsure until the very end whether to include this song on Signal or not, but I decided to due to the strong urging from those around me. This is a different take from the one that has previously been released in the Shingetsu box set, the sound quality is much better here than the previous one, but I'm not sure why?! The previous version had a much more passionate performance, a shame the sound quality is poor for that take. However, this song really allowed me to blossom as a guitarist, I feel this song and I were truly meant to be." - Masauyki Takatsu
