@kari_illama_epdi Trust me, I hate Netflix a lot... but Scorsese, Fincher, the Coen Brothers, and Del Toro-these five masters have already worked for Netflix. I think that with platforms like this that are always pushing the agenda, you have to have a good filter to see the gems and exclude the garbage.
I don’t have a problem with it being on Netflix if they would give films a proper theatrical release. They think it will hurt their numbers when it’s eventually streaming but if it’s a good film it won’t. People will watch it again on streaming and they’ll tell people they know how good it is. Plus, it will make a lot of money. I think it will enhance the film.
Netflix has been putting the award candidate movies in theaters so they’re eligible for Oscar noms. They’ll do a limited release in theaters but I 100% wish they did a full release
The Collab I never thought I would see happen! Can't wait to watch this movie!! Cliff Booth is without a doubt the best character in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)
@skyeslaton3435there's some overlap between universes. The movies that appear in the realer than real universe are movies are stories that take place at another universe universe called the movie movie universe, were the more fantastical Quentin Tarantino films take place like kill Bill or inglorious bastards. He said they're the films that the characters from The realer than real universe watch. It's a meta fictional framing device.
I really hope this gets a theater release. If I was able to see Frankenstein (2025) in a theater…and Narnia gets a release in IMAX, this should be in theaters too
Fincher obviously doesn't care about the theatrical experience, or shooting on film, or film projection. He just makes TV content for Netflix. It's pathetic.
@chartaceaI agree. Once you chain yourself to Netflix and speak their code, you lose the definition of cinematic. I hope someone reminds him what he was iconic for.
Looks Great. To me this feels like Brad just slipping back into this iconic character of his latter career with ease, much like John Wayne followed up “True Grit” with “Rooster Cogburn” 6 years later.
I knew Fincher would transform the colorful visuals of the first film into something dark and murky. Not sure I like it but maybe it fits to the narrative. 🤔
The bubblegum pop of 1969 turned into the dark, earth-toned seedy environment of a 1977 Hollywood Strip adult theater sounds about right. Post Vietnam, America was a totally different place, so it fits.
I already knew this was being directed by David Fincher, but when I looked on the trailer I wasn't actively thinking of that at the time but then seeing the visual style it reminded me yeah this is directed by David Fincher.
Crazy how it definitely feels like the world of Tarantino but the way its shot feels like Fincher has put his stamp on the project as well. can't wait to see it
It possibly will be in theaters too from what I read. I have watched all Tarantino films at the movies. Quentin made me fall with cinema since Pulp Fiction in 1994!
Oh my gosh the Highland Park theater. You couldn't get me to even walk on that floor it was such a dirty theater before went out of business. Glad it got some use in this movie. Apparently just bought out by an actor, I'm pleased to write... hopefully they'll fix it up nice. We need more indie theaters here in America. Went too far with mega theaters.
David Fincher and Quentin Tarantino working together... F**k Yeah I'm In!!!
It's a netflix exclusive

@kari_illama_epdi quit being a sheep, both are great writers and directors.
@Redrum.98quit shilling for art destroying megacorps
@kari_illama_epdi oh, you're one of them. Well when you pull your head out of your ass u can see art for what it is.
This was the best Super Bowl commercial
They didn't play it on what I was watching 😢
“Nah it was dumber than that, something like Rex.”
You were on a horsie.
the important thing is that HE was on a HORSEY!
I know you! I know all 3 of ya! Spahn Ranch!
"Shoot him, Tex!!!"
@lukeoliver6488 "I remember your white little face!"
Looks so good! Hate that it’s Netflix exclusive. This movie NEEDS to be in theatres! It’s a Fincher-Tarantino collab!
It’s a tv show
@jeremyzens9716nope. It’s a film.

@seventy7168exactly. This movie deserves a full release, not limited
Written by Tarantino directed by David Fincher say no more
Nobody does the "Theme From Peter Gunn" like Emerson Lake & Palmer.
great shout
so...takes place in 1977, like the Movie Critic was going to
The Remo Four would like a word with you. Duane Eddy would be spinning on his grave.
ELP🔥
Song is Peter Gunn by ELP!! 🔥
super badass in this - never thought a Works Live track would make it into a "Super Bowl commercial" lol
Tarantino and Fincher working together on a Cliff Booth movie? Sign me in!
The Collab I never thought I would see happen! Can't wait to watch this movie!! Cliff Booth is without a doubt the best character in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)
I thought it was going to be a Pulp Fiction sequel at first when I saw the Big Kahuna burger sign.
You can also see big kahuna burger bags in from dusk till dawn
I love it says since 1963 just so happens to be Quentins birth year
Both movies are in the same universe, along with several others. It called the realer then real universe.
It look more like drawing inspiration from the film Mike's Murder and the true crime Wonderland murders.

This trailer was 🔥
I really hope this gets a theater release. If I was able to see Frankenstein (2025) in a theater…and Narnia gets a release in IMAX, this should be in theaters too

Fincher direction + Tarantino script. Name a better duo
Spielberg + Peter Jackson... I'm a TinTin defender 😅
@RootEighthaha good but not better.
@seth2390 c'mon, Indiana Jones + Lord of the Rings, the minds of the best trilogies working together
@RootEightI'm still annoyed we never got a sequel. Such a great film.
Powell direction + Pressburger script
where is the 4K?
it looks 480p tbh 😂
Just rewatched and I’m in the middle of the book. Cliffs backstory deserves a film
Just finished the book. Enjoy.
This is not a backstory, it’s set in the late 70’s apparently
So extremely ready for this. Loved OUATIH and Cliff. Hope we get a rematch of Booth vs Bruce Lee.
no.
No, I think this time he should have Cliff Booth beat up Muhammed Ali.
"I try"- C.B.
They just knew the assignment and delivered. holy cow.
The difference between Tarantino and Fincher’s direction is wild 💀
This literally feels like old Tarantino wym
@zenthepoet. i dont think its derogatory, there are shots that look straight from zodiac
@agustinlazo8946 And the cinematography is much, much darker.
@buffalo.blackkI’m excited, but I agree Fincher loves too much darkness in his films nowadays.
Someone has to tell him.
@craigledger4645 maybe he should direct batman 😂
0:34 Black Sunday poster!! Hell yeah love that the production design is still on point
And "Looking For Mr. Goodbar"!
hell yeah
Perfect use of Emerson Lake & Palmer's cover of Henry Mancini's "Peter Gunn" theme. Love it!
Looks Great. To me this feels like Brad just slipping back into this iconic character of his latter career with ease, much like John Wayne followed up “True Grit” with “Rooster Cogburn” 6 years later.
Man does this trailer look amazing
The music ELP live at Montreal Peter Gunn
Sign me up , I want a physical copy tho
Hate that it’s Netflix exclusive. Deserves to be in theatres worldwide
@LagoonHoodI hope it’s in theaters alswell
Good luck with that....it's Netflix!
Look for a bootleg copy after it comes out. I have a few streaming exclusives on blu-ray.
We used to pray for times like this 🥺🙏
Looks anamorphic! Makes me more hopeful for the Batman part ii
LFG!!!
Shoot this into my veins right now, thank you.
I thought they'd do a 4th wall thing with the scratched-out squiggly lines they used
Day 1 Watch for me! Loved “Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood” and can’t wait for David Fincher’s take on the continuing adventures of Cliff Booth!
Why's it so dark
Emerson. Lake. And Palmer.
helllll yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
When the actor gets older...shoot everything in the dark 😂
ELP's Peter Gunn soundtrack!
How do I know it's written by QT? It's got Cliff Booth. How do I know it's directed by David Fincher? I can barely see anything.
ELP. Peter Gunn. Cliff Booth. Don't need nothing else.
Im there! Brad pitts the man 💪🏽
Is the sound all messed up on this for anyone else?
Please have more of him and his dog destroying criminals.
Is it just me but is the lighting really dark?
yeah, when it aired it was clear. this vid does look darker than first showing
It's finscher
These Fincher Netflix releases never get the love they deserve. Mank and Killer both should have been oscar winners. This looks amazing
Release it and have it at the dome
In a perfect world
David Fincher, you had me at Emerson Lake & Palmer.
Netflix been stepping their game up recently. Fincher is no slouch, and The Killer was one of his better classical thrillers. This looks very good.
After watching The Killer again (in theaters this time as part of a Fincher retrospective) I've come to realize that movie is brilliant.
YESSSS
This is gonna be great! Also cool pfp
@johnmccarthy4134thanks
Cliff was such a cool character, i think i'm gonna love this!
The budget for lights was 5 dollars
I hope this is just as good-if not better-than Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Emerson Lake and Palmer doing the Peter Gunn theme.
Very excited for this, loved once upon a time
I hope he has his dog with him
EMERSON, LAKE, AND PALMER'S PETER GUNN THEME!
This is 4K in the same way old 720p content was called HD.
Looks great. But dang, this looks darker than The Battle of Winterfell.
I like that Brad’s racing again in this movie after just coming off of making F1
I think he got hooked 😂
A ply
@Slopmasterhooked?
Imagine re-watching OUATIH last night and they drop this trailer in the morning.
ahhh fincher, still refusing to shoot on film 😂
Idk why but the crawling backwards on the floor shot sold me😂. It was so odd
I'm bringing the bagels Cliff!! ❤❤❤❤❤
ELP Peter Gunn song
ELP MENTIONEDDDDDDD IN 2026????
We are so back
WTF is that even supposed to mean? Did we go somewhere? lol And who is "we"? lol
@redadamearth you wouldn't get it
Man, I am so ready for this. Hopefully it gets at least a limited theatrical release.
I absolutely love Once Upon a Time and I’ve never been this excited for a movie
*_LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOO CLIFF CLIFF CLIFF AHAHAHAHAAA !!!_*
You're a good friend, Cliff
David Fincher. Movie 🎬 is gonna whoop that ass!!
Cliff Booth is back? And Peter Gunn's his theme music? SIGN ME UP!!!
Why is the quality so blurry?
finally someone made a movie purposely look like an 80's film. I miss this quality of movies, 80's movies look way better than most modern day movies
Gotta love fincher
It takes place in the 70's, not the 80's. ;-)
Is that smeared overprint a reference to Tyler Durden when he was playing at being a troll projectionist?
So cool!! Can't wait to see Brad back as Cliff Booth!!!
I already knew this was being directed by David Fincher, but when I looked on the trailer I wasn't actively thinking of that at the time but then seeing the visual style it reminded me yeah this is directed by David Fincher.
Looks like a great movie
Crazy how it definitely feels like the world of Tarantino but the way its shot feels like Fincher has put his stamp on the project as well. can't wait to see it
Looked forward to this until I saw the Netflix logo... Could have been a good night out
My GOD! This can't come out soon enough 🤯
I cant wait to see the enhanced bitrate version 😅
Why the color grading so bad and fincherish drak. I thing fincher shot in digitally instead of shooting on film.
This is legit 80’s GTA
correct me if i'm wrong but, David Fincher shooting on anamorphic lenses?
I was unaware that the people responsible for Hollywood's sound design have apparently gone on strike too.
Oh man, David Fincher directing a Tarantino script, count me in!
Where is 4K?
This is gonna be so fire
Second movie trailer with Brad Pitt and the Peter Gunn theme. The first was Cool World.
The ELP version of Peter Gunn.
Why is the bitrate so low?
Clever way of censoring the video. LOL
SO excited for this! He was the best part of the movie! Shame it’s on Netflix, though, hope it gets a theatrical release
Who ISN'T going to see this?
love that it looks like a Fincher movie but with the tone of Tarantino
It possibly will be in theaters too from what I read. I have watched all Tarantino films at the movies. Quentin made me fall with cinema since Pulp Fiction in 1994!
Why does a 4K upload looks so compressed?
This feels like a 70's grindhouse film. I'm here for it:)
Hell yeah!!!! This is gonna be a damn good movie!!!!
I wish they would not have collabed with Netflix. They will ruin it.
I’ve waited years for the Fight Club sequel.
