Great Video Jordan, should be really helpful for the young, up and coming angler. You talk about what can you offer to the sponsor, very important question. Years ago I was at a fishing seminar, and someone asked the boat company rep about being a sponsor. He said he was looking for someone that could sell boats!!! Didn't have to be the best fisherman... My recommendation to a young angler is to do a lot of homework on the company you want to ask to be a sponsor to show you know about them. Good luck this year!
Thanks for making this video!! I always afraid that an old guy (44) couldn’t get any sponsors. Well I have not yet but I have ambassadors programs that help me get items at a reduced price. This reduced price or discount helps me continue my journey as a fisherman or co-angler. Someday, it would be amazing to set down and discuss fishing with you. Good luck this year.
Tell us your story of how you progressed your way up and tell us about your defining moments. Tell us what sponsors came to you, what transpired. Again, keep this story moving don't get stuck on one subject or you will loose everyone's interest.

Hey Jordan I’m always curious about anglers and whether they were fans and users of a brands products prior to signing a sponsor deal or if they took the sponsor because they needed it and then learned to use and enjoy those products. There’s nothing wrong with either approach. Just curious how it went for you. In other words, did you always prefer Abu rods and reels or did they offer you a sponsorship and you acquire a taste for their stuff and end up liking it. Same with your other sponsors. Love what your doing man, keep it up
Mommy and daddy funded your early career. Must be nice i had to much bills to get a boat when i was young. Now im entering the classics at 35. But you can do anything you put your mind to
Do you have a tungsten sponsor? If not there is a company called Texoma Tackle. They have really good weights with the id stamp and they are cheaper and better than some of these bigger companies.

lol you can , luckily it’s America you can do whatever you want. But you gotta ask yourself before you do , what can I offer them. How can I help market this company, they won’t be handing it out

The best way is to fish co angler at the Bfl level. About 100 dollars a tournament , you start there and take baby steps to fish as a boater

If I wanted to go get my very first sponsor from a local electric company owned by family friends, how should I approach them?
Call them, straight up. Tell them your plans , what you can do for them . And what you need from the deal, it’s not easy . But that’s the best way.
