My Brutha! I've talked with the Metal bands I was in about creating videos with me dancing to our tracks because I can straight up dance. Never attempted. Stupid... Stupid Stupid.... I got so tired of asking that I would just quit on them and I made them feel like shit for it before I walked.
This happened with one of my songs on soundcloud! Feb 2017 it got barely 300 plays, but after a youtuber shared it on her platforms a month later it went VIRAL! My one regret was because I was so severely depressed at the time that I didn't capitalise on it the way I should have. I'm good now, I just gotta keep hustling & hope more good fortune comes now that I feel more prepared x
You are the greatest teacher in the music industry. You always bring that knowledge and wisdom. "Great content never dies, it only goes to sleep". FIRE BRO.
Id like to say that ive noticed the artists around where im from that are poppin arent actually talented, they just come from a rich family and have lots of money to spend. It made me realise the music industy doesnt care about talent it cares about money, a greedy machine. Theres so much garbage in the mainstream, ive noticed the best artists are the ones in the underground. Theres so much talent that goes unrecognised due to budgets.
BrandMan thats true, its hard finding ppl good the business side of things, especially being in a small town im at a big disadvantage when it comes to things as such. I feel ive hit a roadblock when it comes to promoting my sound if you know what i mean.
BrandonOfJapan to build off this a little more: I’ve seen both sides of the spectrum. I myself am an artist, and got my start with almost no money, and began building connections off the quality of my music alone. I still do that primarily today because what you can achieve organically is a good tell as to which of your songs are worth putting money behind... to visit the other side, I work with artists that aren’t necessarily special in any regard but have money to pour into the marketing. They may consistently get plays and large view counts, but the loyal fans aren’t there. It’s really easy to say, “Oh I’d be a big deal if I had the money.” But if you focus whole heartedly on the quality and honesty of the content, you won’t need to.
Theres a lot more to the original video: It was filmed much earlier than 2008, and was not originally intended for youtube at all, it was for a student project. It got posted by happenstance.
I love this video bro, I have a lot of great content that I've dropped years ago, and still pushing it bcuz I'm working on how to market and promote it, just waiting for it to wake up and take off, it's kind of sleep right now lol, thanks broski
Why I love your account is because you teach how to creatively take advantage of our platforms. It is all about different ways to go at it. Angles. Thank you so much for this!!
I love the content you make and the way it focuses around marketing, very few channels out there do it well and I love yours for all the examples you use
Not gonna lie I subscribed to this channel for two reasons. 1) Cause the content is legit. 2) Cause of the buttery smooth way you say to hit that subscriiiibe buttonnnn
I found this video very helpful and relatable. I have a video for a song called Cascade released on youtube a couple years ago. Only recently Hype TV Jamaica picked up on it and now feature it in rotation. It's true "Great content never dies" 💯💯💯
yooo brand man, thank you for this video I made a few music videos and they haven't went where they are supposed to be yet but I believe I have a sleeper hit and this video helped me feel better
I don’t think I’ve ever seen in the comments ever point out the M.Z. Effect work for you with black tees and the heart in a upside down hand that we constantly see. Now when I see hearts ♥️ with blue background colors I think Brandman Sean
BrandMan Zuckerberg says he wears the same outfit to save time, and focus more of his energy into serving this world instead of what is he going to wear for the day. But I once listened to a theory about how people like him with his shirt, Janelle Monae and her suit, and even Steve Jobs black turtleneck, was all part of proper branding, and familiarizing people with the person behind the brand, by making them start to identify with the clothing..... idk if I’m making sense, but it’s like.... how I see you always in the black shirt, immediately makes me think of Zuckerberg in his grey shirt, or if I see someone wearing a suit with their hair all fried and died, like the classic man, the first brand I identified with, was Janelle Monae. Like, “oh that’s some Janelle Monae stuff”. Even Lil Wayne pulled it off with the biker chains, or gangs with these sport team apparel choices. I either learned this from you or the HowToRap guy, idk.... could’ve been random
Thanks for this video. I'm currently habing this exact same issue. As it pertains to repackaging would that include uploading the content again with new cover art or the entire vid? What if you have a few views onbthe current load? Am I to presume that you cut your losses with the old view count? In hopes of a better outcome?
"Great content never dies, it only goes to sleep." - Brandman
1-Proper Promotion
2-Viral Growth
3-Larger Fanbase/Platform
4-Great Packaging
Don't underestimate the power of dance videos or dance challenges.
it's actually true, Imma start dancing now! lol
If I had the money, I'd pay good dancers to dance to my old songs once in a while to repromote those songs.

Can’t forget remixing. G Herbo basically resurrected 3-6 Mafia’s Who Run It.
