Very productive trail. We’ve been in Tucson 4 years now and although we don’t specifically look for snakes we’ve encountered quite a few. We’ve encountered King, gopher, long nose, rattlesnakes, and one thread snake one night on our front porch (must have gotten lost). Have not seen a lyre or night snake yet, or coral snake, but don’t hike trails at night. Fun video. Enjoyed all the different colored diamond backs.
@@sonoranherpingadventures lol...Nah, he has very informative voice that made me listen more intently. It's very calm and factual. That is all I was saying....
I wish I could go herping again. At almost 40 years old I havent been in along time unfortunately. Plus living in Vermont don't help cause there's no good herping here
Just make time for a few short trips here and there at the closest spot where herps would be likely to have a save haven. You have timber rattlesnakes, eastern milk snakes, rat snakes, smooth green snakes, lots of turtles, salamanders, frogs!
How far should one stay away from snakes so a snake is not scared. Is it generally 1 meter or 2 meters for example. If a snake is agitated do they need longer distance gap
They can be frightened by you even if you are much further away if you are approaching quickly or making lots of noise/vibrations. Most of the snakes that I find in the videos are found in a roadway and so I don't mind agitating them because they often need to be removed from the road so they are not run over by oncoming traffic.
I can't give away the exact spot, but you can find many others just like it! There are sooo many places to go. Join our facebook page in the link in the video description below and join our discussions!
@@sonoranherpingadventures It's unfortunate that people leave trash around when they are out on the trails. It's cool that you also pick it up when you see it.
Excelente video😉👍🏾

Sounds like you are seeing quite a bit!
Well done. I especially like the in situ video. I'd like to see more from that trail.
I haven't had the chance to hit that trail yet this spring. Hopefully soon!
Looks like a great spot! Hoping to find a coral in 2024
You can find one! Best times for me are early spring and during the summer rains.
Great vid
AWESOME SPOT! GREAT FINDS! NEWSUB FROM IDAHO!
Thanks! Glad to have you watching!
Great variety for a “local spot”.
I only wish that I had Herping spots remotely close to me in my. Lol
Probably near where you go fishing for bass!
Thought you was Marty Stouffer from Wild America...lol. If you never watched him, listen to him
I guess I need to sound more exciting...

@@sonoranherpingadventures Thank you that is so helpful.
Stay still is the trick I suppose.
Do you have any suggestions when people camp out in nature
You wouldn’t be willing to share where this trail is would you? I’m a local and would love to start herping the area

It's sad seeing trash out where the animals are. I always try to pick up trash when I walk along the trails.
Yes, I've picked up trash out there but it just keeps coming!

all you do is hunt in geogia how boring to see 300 copperheads and garters go get a differnt job
Was your comment for a different video? This isn't Georgia and doesn't show copperheads.
