Our first Venza was a 2011. We were in a wreck a year later that totalled it, and we replaced it with another old Venza because we loved it so much! I'm so glad they brought it back. The new ones are a little weird with the taillight thing they've got going on, so I'm hoping they have a new model by the time we're ready to get one. We seriously love our Venza! It's perfect for our needs. I could go on and on about how great it's been!
We have an 09 still drives great at 215,000 miles. The 288 horses still perform great we have done plenty of preventive maintenance should go 500,000 miles easy.
Have you had any problems? I’m thinking about getting one, what should I be aware of? What do you recommend I look for when checking the car? Thanks in advance!
Have a 2010 with 186k - overall good. Two wheel bearings (the second just replaced at 185K) and leaking drive shaft seals. New rear struts at about 150k and front are due soon. Engine and transmission have been golden. Can't complain.
Just got a 15 V6 XLE. I'm confident this thing will last us a long time. Knock on wood lol
I have the 2009 v6 awd with no many problems
how much did you pay and how may miles?
It will.. i have 09. Still runs like day 1..
If you live in the North, the first thing to do is check for rust, especially on replaceable parts (control arms, struts, etc.). Otherwise, you risk getting a vehicle that'll cost you thousands of dollars in repairs. Nowadays , Toyota is much better with their corrosion protection with their frames, but even still, check underneath the car before you do anything. If it's rusty, run away!
I have a 2012 with 140k, just oil changes every 5k miles, they do burn a little oil, 1/2 quartz in mine.
good cars always use a little 😉
I got a Toyota Venza 2010 2.7Liters recently, but the engine oil keeps getting low in few weeks. There is no visible leak or black smoke, no check engine light, what can be done pls?
Does anyone know how to disable the automatic seat adjustment? Upon turning the venza on/off......
Never heard of that tbh
I have that feature in my sienna. Not sure how to disable. You
Might try looking in the menu system where you set the clock. I think there are settings for the seatbelt chime and it might be there for the seat.
Just got a 2014 just smells funny inside
Just got a 2013 and mind does too lol
Run a Ozone machine in it
Ever changed the cab filter?
Must be clogged cabin filter..most people don’t read manufacturers Manual
Does it have a panoramic sunroof?
I had the wheel bearing issue, water pump, and an alternator issue in 118k worth of miles.
Mine makes a weird noise coming . It's a 2012 Toyota Venza AWD 2.7. I'm thinking it's from viedo 1:35-1:50. It makes the noise when driving or turning not all the time it comes and goes.
its a bearing run it till you cant stand it or your wheels get hot
Just recently purchased a 2014 V6 LE AWD. 70k mi.. it makes a popping noise at 6 mi an hour.. sounds like it's coming from the transmission or one of the wheels it's like a cracking noise.. snaps then cracks that's the only time it happens. I've had the car looked at several times nobody could find anything wrong with it.. it's very strange
@@Kevin-bi9nf thank you kevin.... I appreciate it i..t's too hard to describe.. I can't make it happen when a mechanic is driving it .. tends to do it when the vehicle has been sitting overnight.. thanks for letting me know.. I don't have to stress on it I'll just let it run its course as you said thanks again
Have a 2009 v 6 200,000 miles
No problems
❤
I have the 2009 V6 with 86k miles. So far I've only had to replace one speed sensor and unfortunately the steering column is noisy, however it does not involve any danger.
I have 272k KM on my ‘09 and it still drives awesome. Only issue is the steering column makes a cranking type noise sometimes when turning
@@langenbrunner1 Same here: cranking noise of the steering column. However, the car has always successfully passed DMV inspections. Love my Venza. I live in Switzerland and had it imported from the USA (no Venza here).
@@Dermatrans it’s good to know that I’m not the only one this is happening to haha! Cheers from Canada
@@langenbrunner1 No no, unfortunately, this is a common problem on the Venza...but they are always reliable. 🤩
@@Dermatrans that is great to hear! I was worried for a little bit haha
Just bought a 2011 V6 FWD
How many miles on her? How do you like it?
@Dan Jones Love it...144k miles. Rides and drives like new. Avg. 300 miles per tank. 20-22mpg.
It badly needed an alignment. I imagine because the place I bought it from replaced front struts.
Also originally had Bluetooth audio connection issues, they seem to have corrected themselves. All works well. Love the JBL sound systems in Toyotas.
@@joels1986thanks I was looking at one to buy.
I bought one 2 years ago. I’ve enjoyed it and it’s been good to me.
@@joels1986 300 miles only. My 2009 Camry with the V6 XLE gets 390-420 on a good day. That is DTE, distance to empty.
Not going to buy this knowing how badly the gas consumption after hearing from you.
Venza built on the same platform as the Camry. Using the same engine. Sad they get 300 miles.
Anyone having any alarm issue on their 2009 venza?? It's like mine Just start it yesterday The alarm system keeps on going off every 4 hours or so
Yes. I have a 2009. It happens once in a while. I've replace batteries on the key which seems to fix it for a while.
I disconnected BOTH battery terminals today to try and reset the door handle smart key lock function. It would unlock the doors when grabbing either front door handle, but it wouldn't lock when pressing the grooves on the top of the handle like it should. I left the battery unhooked for a couple hours and when i hooked it back up everything was good again. I noticed that the car no longer pulled to the right while driving! It has had multiple alignments, steering calibrations, and tire swaps trying to chase down the pull. This might fix some of your glitches. Remember to let everyone know what fixed it.
Check your door closure switches. The one on my passenger rear door likes to wiggle around in cold weather and will set off the alarm. Almost never happens in summer but if that door is used in cold weather it is a 50/50 that the alarm will go off.
Power liftgate?
I think certain trim levels do have a power liftgate
2013, 170,000 It's been the best car I ever owned. The lines of the site are poor, so get the camera.
Bruh , just all cheap ez sensor
Is pretty normal for all car

Yeah, don't buy anything except the V6 ;)
just bought a 2009, has the nasty steering column rattle, and an oil leak which I need to track down. over paid for it. shop carefully and have it inspected before you buy!!!!
You have to take the intake manifold off, and the wiper blade cowl off, to change the V6 rear spark plugs - absolute idiocy.
All they needed to do was give it the front end profile of a sedan/maybe a lower roofline and it would have been a perfectly good wagon instead of a fugly crossover. It would probably look alright if lowered just an inch.
Please get a human voice. Oh, and the "common problems" are very generic. Click bait.
