💎 As I was making room for new diamond painting purchases, I stumbled across some drills that I had never dekitted! It's been a while since I did a dekit on camera, so here we are? And, of course, what would a diamond painting dekit be without me spilling some drills? 💎

I live the process of kitting up, that is my favourite! I enjoy kitting down, but put it off until I have a collection to dekit! I have a ton of storage so the kitting down can wait. Lol
Thanks for watching!!
I store my square drills filed vertically using 3x5 in 4mil bags and index cards for dividers labeled with Rebecca's labels. For the rounds I use 2x3 bags and plastic baseball card dividers with Joan's labels. Two separate drawer units for rounds and squares to avoid messing up. As for Ab's and square crystals, I prefer Elizabeth Ward trays for ease of choosing colors to replace. Normal crystals go in round bottles in an Art Dot drawer unit organized in Rainbow order. I can never toss drills. The hoarder in me hates wasting anything. I actually love dekitting. It's fun for me to organize them into their respective systems. I think that's the secret...setup a nice system and you will end up loving the dekitting process. It's best to handle all static when you are kitting up. Open your drill bag and insert a nice big square of dryer sheet. (1.5 x1.5 inch) Shake up the bag to make sure all the drills touch. Then pour them on to a separate dryer sheet. Fold the sheet and rub the drills so every drill touches then use that folded sheet as a funnel to pour into your trays or bottles. Boom....zero static. 2 steps but so worth it when you consider there will be zero static remaining to trouble you down the line.
I do keep my rounds/squares separate and I do love that. I’ve not tried the artdot drawers, but I should. I hate throwing things away as well, but I’m gonna have to be pretty ruthless for the move. Then I can start my ‘collection’ over!! 😂
Can’t hear the dog barking, LOL. Loved your dekitting!
Good to know! Thanks for watching!!
I’m a HUGE fan of the kitting up process, but terrible at de-knitting so it piles up and then I do it all at once.
I normally do everything as I go, but somehow I managed to lose track of a case of drills! Thanks for watching!!
I don’t mind debiting but yes, definitely like kitting up better! You have a great system! I started doing mine this way too!
Thanks for watching!!
I do save my drills, no matter how few or many. I love to kit up, but kitting down isn’t as much fun.
I like both, but I think the kit up is better because you are looking forward to completing the new project. Thanks for watching!!
I have only started dp so I have them in baggies in a box no rhyme or reason just in the box watching ur videos have help will have to get better organized lol
Organizing all the drills is one of my favorite parts. Thanks for watching!!
I should learn from you on disposing 310s and very little amounts of left overs. 😁 I sure hope your leg behaves and be nice to you. 😌❤️🙏🏼
Thanks for watching!!
There is a standard on the dmc colors. Most companies when they run out of a color they use a substitute and don’t change the color dmc code on the canvas as that would be a costly do over. Then out the door they go. That’s my opinion of what I would do if I owned the company
I wonder if the dye lots are affected by differences in the resin they use? But for the acrylic drills, you would think it would be like Pantone colors or RGB or something, so it would be standard. Thanks for watching!!
Sharon rademakers leuk kerstkadoutje van kerstman
Joan diamond paints does the conversions and show tutorials on how she does it
I’ve done the conversions myself as well, but I just don’t like using the round crystals with regular drills. Thanks for watching!!
Most of the kits I get from DAC have a large around of numbers. The one I am working on now has 65 and the next one I am doing has 75 and they are not huge paintings
Someday I’ll get around to my tower/tray set up! Thanks for watching!!
Love kitting up. Hate kitting down. 💜 Funny you mentioned the many shades of gray … for as many shades of gray there are, I feel there are not enough. 🤣 I also find even the same company will absolutely have different dye lot colors from different manufacturing runs. 💜
Crazy, right? Thanks for watching!!
Do you have a video on this setup and process you did to create it? I don’t have enough DP to do this but I’ve been trying to find a way to store my clay pieces and this looks perfect!
You can see how I made the storage here: ruclips.net/video/sG1TSslhO1Y/видео.html Thanks for watching!!
Hey Daphne, where are those little cloths you ordered for cleaning the adhesive off? You just showed in an unboxing recently.
Oh shoot! I forgot all about those! I’m just so used to grabbing the goof off, I didn’t even think about them. Thanks for watching!!
I love the look of the credenza but I love my bella art collection more. I have invested so much in building my bella collection that I doubt I will ever stray. It just works so perfectly for me. Now if the credenza would consider customizing their slots to fit bella Larges I would be all over that. I love the portability of that Idea. Unfortunately they aren't willing to customize the measurements.
I am debating investing in more Bella trays before we move. I love the 2.0 ones, but I need more so I can do the tower/tray set up. Thanks for watching!!
Use a hair dryer and heat them up a little bit they will come right off
I need to remember that! Thanks for watching!!
@@DiamondPaintingAnonymous I do that on any labels even kitchen labels. And ur welcome back
Sahwnttasmth you too love you too love you get see you see
Where did you get the storage boxes and dividers you used for storage of your spare drills?
The actual boxes I bought at a craft store, but the dividers and stickers I made myself. You can see how I did it here: ruclips.net/video/sG1TSslhO1Y/видео.html Thanks for watching!!
