- When his father was arrested and imprisoned, Atty. Chel Diokno was only eleven years old and it changed his life forever. In this intimate interview, he shares with me how this childhood experience has molded him to be the man, the lawyer and the father that he is today.
Three striking lines that I got from this conversation:
1. "Things happen. You have no control over that but you have control over how you will respond to the situation."
2. " What i stand for is what is appropriate and what is right... doing what this justice is doing what's right."

It was frustrating that a qualified man like Atty Chel Diokno was not given a chance to sit in the Senate. The Filipino people voted for the likes of Bong Revilla, Lito Lapid, Bato de la Rosa, Manny Pacquiao to run/manage the laws in our government.
With that, may the Filipinos learn from the past and correct the wrong by voting for the most desrving candidates. Atty Chel must be given the chance this time.

@Sad Haha pagisipan niyo pong mabuti kung sino ang susunod nating magiging presidente. Hindi po kailanman humingi ng tawad o inako ng mga Marcos ang kasalanan nila sa bansa about corruption. Kaya po ba ng konsensya niyo magluklok ng taong walang pagsisi or pagrecognize man lang sa ginawa ng tatay niya or ng pamilya niya sa bansa. Couldn't help but cry every time I witness parents accepting their kids for who they REALLY are and wanted to be. To be honest, I was really not into politics, and Toni's guests were so unfamiliar to me BUT every time I heard their stories esp that wasn't shown in media, the moments they've spoken their hearts were the moments their soul noticeably touches ours (even if some were nonsupporters of the guest) and it was really the reason where more viewers are fond of this channel with the platform of enriching, inspiring and developing us with pure, honest and genuine stories. This video has me crying. I'm currently a Political Science student and an aspiring human rights lawyer! I personally met Atty. Chel in our Univerity for the Senatorial Debates. I tell you, this person is SO humble despite his achievements in life. He speaks with substance, and you'll know na he actually knows what he's doing. Sobrang progressive ng stances niya, at he listens to different sectors.
Our country has dealt with problems embedded in our system for so long already. However, I won't lose hope. Let's continue to eradicate the usual elite and trapo politics that we see in the Philippines. NOW is the time, and it is never too late to act for social change. Politics makes the world go round, and one of the most direct and easiest way to change and challenge the system is our RIGHT TO VOTE. Have yourselves registered, educate ourselves, educate the ones who do not have the same resources as ours to vote for Atty. Chel. Please, huwag nating biguin ang Pilipinas at ang mga susunod pang henerasyon.
No regrets voting for the man. Will vote for him again and again. His life story is really inspiring, brings tears to my eyes.

After this talk, I decided to support Atty. Chel Diokno. You can clearly sense his wisdom and knowledge with the way he speaks. I can also feel how genuine his heart is for the Filipinos. One of the leaders we need in our country.

@@paulloberiano6582 SC gave him only a stern warning but no disbarment case was filed. All were just threats by Calida. September 2019 pa yang issue na yan and that has been resolved.

Atty. Chel's one of the reasons why I wanted to be a lawyer. I'm now on my 2nd year in law school, I aspire to be that composed haha. I admire his principles, his stand but this video made me also admire him as a parent.

Most of my relatives when i say “kahit san pa lumaban si sir Chel, he got my vote” would look at me like wala akong alam kasi hindi pa daw ako mulat sa katotohanan. Pero the only reason kaya nila sinasabi yun ay dahil sila ay pro sa kabilang partido. And nakakalimutan na nilang tignan yung credential at pagkatao nung tingin nilang nakasalungat sa kanilang partido. They will not vote to sir Chel daw because he is a dilawan regardless kung gaano pa ka competitive in work si sir Chel. And it really saddens me kasi not only my relatives, but most people are like that.

It's amazing how he just genuinely stated those words which will give everyone an idea of what is the best and right for our country.
