FINALLY SOMEONE DOES RAP DISTIRBUTION RIGHT. As someone who is vocally trained, and is learning/studying rap, people put melodic parts in as raps just because they have some sort of growl or fast pace. For example, ik this is an Everglow video, but people put Jennie's first part in "Kill this Love" as a rap and I'm just sitting there confused. She's literally singing with a slightly quicker pace and a growl. But anyway, great video!:)

Yeah a recently released song Boyfriend by cignature has both 1st and 2nd Melodic Verses, which is literally not a rap. (I actually thought Jennie's 1st part was a rap before - sometimes it confuses people since Jennie is their Main Rapper).
Also, a lot of fans considers Dahyun, Chaeyoung, Mina, Jeongyeon 2nd Verse on Fancy as rap, but i think it's not - definitely confused because 2 Rappers and 1 Sub Rappers are singing those parts - let me know your thoughts to this please, thank you.

I personally think Sihyeon should just be a pure vocalist since she suits that role the best and gets a lot of lines there too. A lot more of Yiren's rap parts should go to Onda since Yiren is the official center of the group too after all. At least 50-50 between Onda and Yiren. Other three are fine,including Mia because her voice is unique(very nasal) and versatile enough to be good for rapping too.

@@lachainedestrucsnulle1211 Yes of course,I'm not saying that she can't rap,it's just that E:U and especially Onda need more spotlight in their songs. At least E:U got a chorus center,Onda was pretty much a backup dancer who made a guest appearance in Pirate.
Onda's voice is not suited for rap.Also Yiren hasn't got lost of lines too.So that would be ridiculous to give her lines to Onda.
@@meviaally She has center and is the main visual of the group so her presence is felt a lot more than Onda. For example in the last pirate chorus which belonged to the whole group,she was the center and she appears in the thumbnail of pretty much every MV. Its not like Yiren has rap parts that are particularly hard either,Onda can easily go "I'm a Pirate yeah yeah" too. Yiren might not get a whole lot of lines,but her presence is easily felt whereas you can't really say the same for Onda except when they're dancing.
Onda needs those lines much more than Yiren or at least a lot more center time. Imo 60-40 Onda-Yiren rap parts is justified but 50-50 isn't a bad start. Yiren has a lot of other perks(FOTG,center) that Onda doesn't have so by no means Yiren will suddenly go unnoticed

I consider all of those raps. I did not forget Mia and Aisha's lines in la di da, i just don't consider them raps. They have a melody so I just consider it singing :)

@@matthewclarke6990 No, cause those would be loose words. All the lines i picked i think they are raps, if you move the "cause i'm a pirate" pary, and put it in a verse, it would easily sound like a rap

No, she shouldn't. I love Sihyeon and she's probably my bias, but she already shines as a lead vocalist with her beautiful voice. EVERGLOW's line distributions are criticized because they are not very equal, and I think giving Sihyeon more rap lines would just make it worse.
