AMULovsCookies Nah, as far as the official channel goes they're way better off with these monthly compilations than my weird "themed" ones. These videos are perfect for more casual subscribers who want to keep up with the channel but not the commitment of watching 3 videos a day, whereas mine are more like fun retreads for hardcore fans...or people who just really like Barry.

Why not? They've probably seen other peoples "best of game grumps" and want to get some of the money. I mean, some of the "best of game grumps" have over 400k views, which is way above the average from a normal episode.
It also appears a fan made this. Which means income without work. Why should they say no to that?
Judging by the view counts on other videos, there's a lot of demand for such videos. The GG's are simply delivering.
It kind of makes sense. They make a lot of series and it's an easy way to get people interested in ones they may have skipped.
i suggested this to them years ago back when Jon was still on. I don't think at that point they really had the production value to pull it off but still. I'm glad they finally do :) just means more content for us and its really good for those that cant catch every episode/

I just realised the game grumps have the best job ever they make RUclips videos playing video games for a living which is the best job by itself but then they always have fun and laugh all the time which just makes it the dream job of anybody that like video games. it's definitely my dream job to be able to play video games and laugh all the time while making RUclips videos

Why would people have a problem with the Grumps having a brand deal? They probably wouldn't even push it very hard, and Dan practically has a monopoly on skittles. I've never understood why that would make them sellouts. If you ran a lemonade stand, and some company said we will give you money to use and talk about our product: most people would do that. But suddenly when people who are somehow considered "superior" or "special" do something that most people would do (cause life's fuckin expensive man) it becomes "selling out." Also, "air quotes."

I didn't watch GG for 3 and a half months, and I start catching up, and every time I look down in the comments section for Top Comments, it's always a sea of "Y'ALL ARE WHINY BABIES" and "WHY DOES EVERYONE HATE ____?" and no actual complaints they're complaining about.
It makes me think it'd be more productive to just be totally positive and keep upvoting them so months later it's just nice comments instead of comments complaining about complaining.

Fun fact (related to the point Arin makes @ 5:32 saying he never understood Golduck's name): In the Japanese version, Psyduck and Golduck are actually reversed in name. This makes sense because Psyduck (in the english version) is gold-colored, while it's next evolution which focuses on psychic powers would be Psyduck.

I really like the updates to the channel recently. It's really awesome to see fan-made content on the actual channel, and I'm sure it feels really good to those who work so hard to support the grumps. It's a great way for the grumps to reach into the most dedicated of fans and for their work to reach even more GG fans. You grumps and grump-fans are doing a great job!
I really hope people dont stop making best-ofs/ compilations. It makes me really happy when I see a new video of a series I haven't seen yet. Probably sounds stupid but i really appreciate the people who make them ♡
Game Grumps has one of the most ungrateful fandoms I've ever seen.
They actually used to offer far more criticism. Because of this, the channel was generally devoid of shit that wasn't funny. Now the fanbase has degraded so much that they will eat up anything uploaded on here. That is why this channel is garbage now.

Pro: If it continues as a "best of the previous month" deal, then a lot of it would have been forgotten, making it "fresh"
Pro: Promoting Drej9 and his channel, which is nice.
